The fates said the son's name is Orpheus Morpheus's power doesn't only work if you are sleeping that's just his go to method of punishment for most people. Also Morpheus so far in the series has only been giving punishments to humans based on what he thinks they deserved and in this one he gave the writer ideas in abundance it was not Calliope.

So essentially, he fell in love with a mortal and then chose to die to be with her. What's unclear is why she blamed Morpheus for that. Or, if maybe he blamed her? Another great reaction, I've also loved this show and can't wait for season 2.
