To simplify things, Since sweyn basically was invading England back in season 1 and got killed, Herald became the king in Denmark while Canute is the "king" in England. Both sons inherited their fathers land and have their own territory

2023-06-21 09:11:16 +0000 UTCSweyn (canutes father) i think was king of all modern day denmark, and small parts of modern day norway and sweden (mainly the most important economic ones) pretty much the shores closest to denmark.. If I would guess its Denmark as It was described as a good fertile land.

It will be explained more later- and our guys are definitely slaves, Ketil is just giving them a deal to buy their freedom (but it will take at least 3 years)- great reaction guys

2023-06-20 21:56:44 +0000 UTCIf I remember correctly at the end of season 1, Thorfinn cut Canutes face, Canute said not to kill him but there was another character who said he will take care of him. Implying that he wouldn’t kill him but he’d be a slave.
