What I love about this episode is that it shatters peoples hopes/perception of askeladds and thorfinns relationship. It was never some pseudo-father figure or wise master teaching his student listens without saying out loudor something. Askeladd was straight up just using thorfinn and cause it was convenient, He even said thorfinn would run up and fight thorkell.
