Most sorcerers' cursed energy and techniques start to manifest around 4-6 years old. Yuji has gained access/control of cursed energy and can use it to attack, but he doesn't have a technique to pour the energy into to "use" it (think of Gojo's analogy to electricity and appliances when he started training Yuji with the movies). Though Gojo did say that Sukuna's technique would eventually be ingrained into his body. Black Flash is a distortion of space-time when raw cursed energy hits within a trillionth of a second after a physical attack (Yuji's original attack, Divergent Fist, is basically the opposite), but it's not a Cursed Technique. Yuji is essentially just doing a combo attack of superhuman physical strength and raw cursed energy, and Black Flash is a critical hit. Examples of Cursed Techniques would be: Fushi: Ten Shadows Technique (the shikigami) Nobara: Straw Doll Technique Gojo: Limitless (which his Six Eyes greatly enhances - the eyes are a different thing) Geto: Cursed Spirit Manipulation Nanami: Ratio Technique Mahito: Idle Transfiguration Todo: Boogie Woogie Inumaki: Cursed Speech Techniques can also be amplified or reversed (if the user can use the Reverse Cursed Technique): Fushi: Bottomless Well (combines his shadow shikigami) Nobara: Resonance Gojo: Blue (reversal Red) Nanami: Collapse You're not wrong that the magic system is kinda complicated/complex.
