At the beginning of the episode, when Tina is being laid off, there's a digital clock on the wall behind the HR guy and the date shows 11/9/18. Mikey committed suicide in February 2022, and the present day is July 2023 (The Bear opened at the end of May).

2024-07-10 08:30:27 +0000 UTCThe actor who played Tina's husband is David Zayas, and in real life, he's married to Liza Colón-Zayas, who plays Tina. If they seemed really natural together acting as a married couple it's probably because they're really a married couple. And yes, Zayas most well-known work is his role on Dexter as Det. Angel Batista.
