Acrobat Silky had a number of jobs that they show. She was a janitor and a clerk at a store. But the one they keep going back to is her picking up money off the dresser in a Love Hotel. She was probably doing everything she could to take care of her daughter. And those men were probably her “handler” and they most likely sold the daughter. It’s very grim and unfortunate but the episode was still masterfully done, even if I was ready to cry my eyes out by the end.

2024-11-17 00:54:42 +0000 UTCThe comments on YouTube will say this, but in the manga, they make it really clear that the Mom survives searching for her child, then heads to a building rooftop, where she performs her final ballet. The last panel is her beautiful leap off of the building, and the world turning sideways before she smacks into the pavement.
