Finally, I don’t expect you to remember this always, but it may help. Korean pronunciation (for the most part) doesn’t change, especially in vowels like they do in English. A is always ah like “open up and say ah” I is always ee like in keep, sleep, etc. The J is like the j in juice. And the O is always pronounced like oh. eo (어) is a bit trickier to explain but it’s kinda like uh. So Sae-Byeok from season one is say-byuhk. Kinda. And you probably already figured out that their last names come first. 성기훈 is Seong Gi-hun, but Seong is the family name. I’ve seen reactors call him Seong and it makes my eye itch. 😂 And it’s not uncommon for siblings to share the same syllable block (most Korean surnames are one syllable like Lee, Park, Kang, Kim and their given names are usually two-syllables like Gi-hun, Sang-woo, Jun-Ho) Example: Jun-ho (cop) and In-ho (Front Man).
