I know she is reeling from the supposed kidnapping/death of her son, and since he was taken by Dream's enemies and on top of that Dream threatened her many times that he would just take Daniel, she is acting on pure anger and vengeance, she did the same last season when she tried to get Rose to kill Dream.....which is what the Kindy Ones want...they are the Furies of Vengeance...plus since their introduction in S1 they have had it out for Dream since he apparently didn't come to their aid in a past conflict with Circe and he sort of always deliberately offended them by not calling them the Kindly Ones....so this whole situation is sort of all of Dream's past misdeeds and mistakes coming back to haunt him, even though he has changed and become a better being...with more empathy and kindness....his past is catching up with him. Also is it just me or was Morpheus like way more open and vulnerable and less stoic and closed off this episode? We saw him full on smile a few times, he even was a bit chaotic and funny when he dropped a few books and was prattling around Lucienne's library acting all bored, this is truly a new Dream...he was the most "human" that he has ever been in this episode. Also in terms of Lucienne's backstory...not much is known about this character, even in the comics...but it does state that she (he in the comics) was Dream's first raven (in the comics mortals would on occasion leave the waking world to become something else in other realms - whether that be after they died or not it is never really stated) and was with him for a very long time as a raven, which is why they have such a deep connection and why Lucienne seems to understand him, be so loyal to him and not judge him like others do...the bond Dream has with his ravens is pretty significant, basically because he can communicate with them through telepathy and that the ravens are Dreams eye/ears in the waking world. They have like a shared bond or awareness with Dream, almost like an extension of Dream's mind, which is why when Jessamy was killed in Season 1 Episode 1, it was like a brutal severing of a deep connection and part of himself. If you think back on it, the only 2 times we have seen Dream cry was when Jessamy was killed and when he had to kill his son, which to me shows the level of connection and love he has with his ravens is like almost on the same level as his son. It is also why Lucienne is really the only one that can call out Dream and not get into trouble for it and she is truly one of the only ones he confides in - like when he returned from visiting his horrible parents, it was Lucienne he sought out to talk to and was really emotional with her and basically thanked her for loving him unconditionally in a way his parents didn't.
