2022-08-09 15:19:15 +0000 UTCHoseok is an ace artist. I think that he out of all members was the most ready for a solo show(not at all to discredit or underestimate the others). Jhope has a star quality that many artist (western included) do not have or haven’t mastered as well as he has, and it’s completely natural for him. He can adapt and he’s an amazing amazing performer. I’ve watched his set at least 5 times already and every time I’m just sooo immensely proud of him. This is his moment m. He’s at the peak of his career (both solo and as a group) and this is the perfect start for him (solo wise).

2022-08-09 07:25:38 +0000 UTCi’m so annoying i’m sorry LMAO but i just remembered i also wanted to say that even before hobi was announced as a headliner, i always said that if one of them were to perform a solo show n be ready for it, it would be hobi. his stage presence makes up for so much. he thrives in bts and group performances but he can definitely hold his own, something i think the others members might still need a little more time (especially for an hour set)

2022-08-08 22:00:46 +0000 UTCsomeone else already mentioned this but the rap line (in my opinion namjoon but still, all the rap line) is the backbone of bts. mic drop came about bc of hobi’s verse. they mentioned that they didn’t know how the song would go about until hitman bang n the rest of the rap line heard his verse. he now has 134 credits in komca (korea music copyright association) after jack in the box was put in.

2022-08-08 21:58:02 +0000 UTCi love jk but i have always said bts’ ace is hobi. that man can sing, rap, dance, produce, perform, n look good doing it. jk is very talented n i know lou mentioned jk can rap rly well but in my opinion, there’s a difference between someone who can rap, and a rapper. jk can rap, hobi is a rapper. that man writes his own bars n produces his own beats (when he can.) jk’s speciality in writing is def singing.

2022-08-08 21:49:28 +0000 UTCits actually "-ah" not just "-a" when saying jimin-ah [just correcting the spelling]. Its informal (which you explained about close family/friends) but it cannot be used towards older people, that is when you use "-ssi" which is formal.

In Korean there’s a tendency to add a “a” or “i” behind people’s name of you’re close to each other or family. Like for example jiminie or jimina are names that they call Jimin as well.

The nickname Hobi actually comes from Hope/Hoseok, but the Korean word for hope is huimang, which is where Hobi’s BT21 character, Mang, gets his name. Hobi produced this solo album pretty much all by himself, just like Suga produces his own stuff. Hobi had a say in pretty much every aspect of this album, as well as all the music videos for it (Arson and More).
