Also due to personal issues some bts members weren't in a good state. It was the year when Jhope and V cried so much receiving MAMA award and Jin said that they were talking about disbanding. They won billboard award in December 2017, so they blew up globally and started being recognized as global superstars in 2018.

In terms of V I don’t think he comes till 3rd ep I’m not exactly sure but I think I saw a comment saying one of his family members had unfortunately just passed away hence the beginning of the ep the members say he left for personal reasons.
