would you ever actually want to be a show runner for doctor who or just write some stories for it?

Did you see that Atari are CROWDFUNDING a RCTW port to the Switch?

Mr. H.

Dan what do you think of the new Black Mirror season, specifically the Star Trek themed opening episode?

Jeff Duvall

Just for anyone that's interested nerdwriter1 put up a video a while back reiterating Dan's points about writing dialogue, however there is a bigger focus on movie dialogue. Just in case people are interested.

Any chance of a minecraft buildy thingy 2 or at least a one off video?

Taylor Page

Hi Dan if the book tour happens you should go to some of the smaller towns that no one knows exists that'll be fun(bad for business but fun)

Hey Dan, have you any idea yet if you'd want the book to have a hardcover? I know that'll drive the cost up a bit, but I fuckin love me some hardcovers.

Mathieu Marlaire

Have you ever designed a robot for Robot Wars? Have you ever tried building your own battle robot?

Matthew Sinclair

Dan, if you could choose between having full control over Taskmaster, Doctor Who, and Star Trek, or being able the exterminate all spiders from the universe, which would you choose?

Isaac Rodriguez

Don't Eaglemoss also do doctor who figures

I came up with a script concept for a movie that is essentially silent with just music and visuals about the similarities and differences between an adults life and a child's life, What do you think of the idea and any tips for writing scenes with no dialogue?

Steven Clinton

What do you think about the Nintendo labo cardboard sets that are coming out this April?

Chewing_Soup

When you read do you sub-vocalise? By that I mean does the voice in your head (your internal monologue voice) read the words out loud? Usually if it does then you will be aware of it, if you're not sure it probably doesn't happen. I also apologise if you go mad noticing moments when you do that :P

Narmatonia

come to Ireland to u better come to Ireland we are like Hamburgs for your book tour

1st_batman

Do you think it's partial deafness you have? Or do you think it could be an auditory processing problem? I had multiple tests done as a child for hearing problems but it turns out I just have an auditory processing problem sometimes where I can hear exactly what someone says (voicewise) but I cannot work out what they're actually saying.

Hi Dan, another great podcast. Not sure if I'm the only one but if you wanted to I'd love it if you didn't limit yourself to these being so short. Love having them on in the background while at work.

Hi Dan, also looking to get a new PC since mine exploded. Where do you get yours from if they are pre-built. I enjoy making them but like the piece of mind that a warrenty brings

Another NerdCubed Gaming Rig bites the dust

I'm going to buy the full Star Realms next month, but because I've got a fair amount of stuff planned that involves travelling and tickets and such I don't want to buy all the DLC at once, which one or two should I get first?

Tom Chaney

If you like a different type of vlogging you might like Sugar Pine 7 but they might be too young and American for you.

Awed

I was going to do the audio but ... Business got in the way ... 😭😭😭 Also, Glasgow Fuckin' loves you too.

ThisDamnScotsman

For your comedian section, have you done Joe Lycett, if not, what do you think of his comedy?

TheShyBiGuy

Just finished building LEGO Big Ben and Tower Bridge while listening to your podcasts Dan. Thanks for the inspiration to build more LEGO.. and to spend many pay checks on buying the bloody stuff.

Why did you choose Lego over more realistic building kits like airfix? :)

Douglas Hodgson

Rupert Murdoch is no longer involved with that part of fox Disney owns it now

Craig (CraigUntlNytTym) Penfold

I remember a video where you recommended YouTube channels you liked? Are there any new channels you’ve started watching, or can you tell us more about the channels you do like (peter brown etc) thanks!

There is never enough computer talk

Craig (CraigUntlNytTym) Penfold

Would you ever consider releasing Beta builds of your games to certain patreons having done some beta testing before even if I had to sign an NDA I'd be down for it.

Jacob Hardy

Will you be writing your book with like footnotes and a bibliography and stuff for all the research you've done?

J Singh

1. It's amazing to see someone actually get my name right on the first try! (Trust a brit!) 2. Yes, I absolutely know what you are talking about

Sir Uncle Ned

Dan, have you played Pyre? It's a game that came out last year made by the creators of Bastion. I know it may not seem like your thing, being a chose your own adventure mixed with a sports game. However i went into it thinking i would hate it and it is one of the best, most compelling games i have ever played.

From watching his videos I'm pretty sure Casey edits them himself. But that may have changed at some point

Aaron Place

In the Earth Defence Force videos you mentioned that there aren't many games about fighting giant things, so I have a suggestion for you: Titan Slayer VR, a game where the entire premise is in the title. Also, there's a LEGO BB-8 set that's about 8 inches tall when built and his thumbs up flamethrower pops out. Thoughts on getting those?

Joseph Henderson

that 2500 video is definitely now in my top 5 of your videos. i just paused the podcast to watch it a 3rd time. again i ended it with tears in my eyes it's so damn funny

CMS creations

i only very briefly played TWEWY, but would it work on the switch in like, a portrait mode with the screen split? i also don't have a switch, so i don't know if this is impossible

CMS creations

I thought of an idea for a Star Trek series and would like your thoughts on it. The series would be set on a planet that had just made first contact with the Federation and the main cast would be the top ranking government officials. In terms of the plot, the Federation would have been forced to make contact way too early (so they would be about our tech level). I feel it would provide a perspective of the Federation from the outside and show how we could go about becoming something like the Federation.

Tyler Kelley

And you have to watch a movie called a dogs purpose it's incredible

Jack

Ever played Jurassic Park operation Genesis and are you looking forward to evolution

Jack

1. You could ask someone else to read your book in your place eg ashens. 2. Do you watch black mirror if so what did you think of the series, in particular the first episode (if you don't watch it watch that episode at least, i think you will like it)

Don't think that Scott Pilgrim behind the scenes joke went unnoticed.

YourJelly

I feel like when computers get rights, Dan's gonna be on a list.

FlamingYeti

So you're only about 700 subs away from 2.6 million. Any chance of a special video on that?

George Farren

Dan, If you could design a Robot Wars killing machine, What would it look like? What would it be called? What would it's weapons be?

Dylan Parry

I don't know how but I didn't recognise it was you in the shower for your 2,500th video until I watched it back. I feel incredibly stupid.

Joshua Aarons

Brooklyn Nine-Nine is soo good! Relevant question, favourite Tv show?

Owen Reid

Dan can you convince Nerdcubed to do the audio book version (Ashens)

Alex Bonilla

Doom for the switch is great. Not quite the PC quality but a great little time waster

Question! You say "we" when referring to yourself in your videos, was this a conscious decision to make your audience feel more involved or did you just do it naturally? Also I find Euro Truck Simulator (non VR) is really one of those games where some extra resolution would be very beneficial in improving the range of sight, you're often staring far off into the distance and cars look a bit silly when they've turned into squares because they've taken up about four pixels on a 1080p monitor.

Mike Jones

If you want to watch the orville you can buy the series on amazon video. So far it's pretty good.

Josh Ikin

Dan, if you do end up doing a book tour will you visit us in beautiful, drizzly Edinburgh? Also you asked to be reminded that you want to do episode rundowns, so consider yourself reminded.

Well Read Nomad

I just went to fullscreen the podcast.

Addison Reilly

Elliot Gough is TomSka's editor behind the scenes. They run a tight little ship. Also look to the music video he made when he was told he could make anything for the day of the week in a vlog. (Oh and make a community episode-by-episode pleeeeease)

Captain_Cone

I will be suprised if you make it, but I would love an audiobook version of your book.

Rupert Murdoch's share of Sky is via 21st century fox which will be owned by Disney when that deal goes through, also The Orville episodes are available to purchase on Google Play the day after the UK broadcast

Shawn Lindsay

Dan, what you're talking about at 19 minutes in, splicing songs? That's literally half the content on my youtube channel, AND my friends'. Soundtrack Medleys, merging bits of music to make it as smooth as possible

Rowan Mackenzie

Dan, have you ever watched LOST? If not I think you’d enjoy it.

Dan, I am going to schotland on a roadtrip with my dad in may, what do you recommend we visit?

Kloovt

Because you like B99, will you check out Michael Schur’s ‘the good place’ on Netflix? It's only on its second season, but I think it’s about as good

Gavin Ironside

Ask Yahtzee to do the audio for your book. It's a long shot but fuck it! :D

Low-FODMAP diet is hard but does work for IBS. Remove garlic too

Kittenpyjamas

Dan, is there any advice you can give a student writer? I can't afford any formatting software etc., and don't have too much time, so any advice with how to build on ideas in these limits would be awesome!

Joe Blackburn

Onions are the worst if you've got irritable bowels. If I eat onions I will get stomach aches every time. Same for any deep fried food.

Rhod! I sat in the front row of about 20 people in a practice for the Edinburgh Festival gig, it was tremendous! Griff Rhys Jones doesn't come across as remotely aggressive, neither does Colin Jackson. Rhod does though because he's usually being irate about things hilariously. Brookyln 99 is really excellent!

Patrick Jackson

Dan, can you please enable Audio RSS feeds? That way, the new Patreon Podcasts can be accessed directly with our Podcast clients. Thanks!

Stephen Staver

Casey edits his own videos

Alan Morrison
