The Patreon Podcast - Episode 44 - Health. Life. Etc.

Hello.

- Dan

Comments

Played the Alpha weekend and, while its clearly not even close to being ready for full release, it shows great potential. However, i've got the feeling that its always gonna be known as the "3D Factorio" game, not as Satisfactory.

Sean Scott

Have you seen the game Satisfactory? It's amazing, its a 3D Factorio by the Goat Sim developers, it's great

JoshRyanUK

No matter what you decide to do in the future, I'll not stop supporting you here, and listening to podcasts whenever they're out. I've been following you for many years now, and I don't plan to stop.

Matthew Doney

Have you seen the Tactical Breach Wizards gameplay video? I for one am very excited

Tom Chaney

I agree with what a lot of others have said. You have earned my respect since I found you about 7 or 8 years ago. The reason I give what I can is because I believe in what you do.

I don’t wanna overstep my boundaries but hearing that you’re going to therapy really struck home for me. So much that I’ve upped my pledge. Great Job trying to human, Dan.

Dean Chambers

Glad you’re going to therapy man! I’ve got my first therapy session in like an hour for my anxiety too

CB

In a previous episode you said you wanted a theme tune or song at the beginning of your podcasts as an introduction. You also said the rap Dan Bull made didn't really fit the style of this. But have you heard of 'Everyday Normal Guy 2'. It's about an everyday normal guy and it's got some pretty good lyrics as well. I'm a bit behind (I'm REALLY far behind) with your podcasts so apologises if you've already covered this.

Ashvin Scott

On that final note of you're "indebted" to us. No, no you're not. Like Kojima, Schafer and FromSoftware, you have earned our respect, trust and thanks. The least we can do is support you.

Harmelodic

Dan, we love you, and we're not going to leave you high and dry, especially when you need so much support right now. If you want any book recommendations, I'd recommend Leviathan Wakes by James SA Corey, it's an excellent sci-fi, and also a TV series called The Expanse.

James Macleod

I'm really sorry to hear you've had such a bad time recently, but I am glad to hear you are getting help and started therapy. As someone that has been burnt out and been dealing with anxiety and shit for a very long time i know what a difference that can make. The pills help, but therapy is what eventually made me able to get of the pills, so I'm a big supporter of it. Very happy to keep supporting you through this and I hope you start feeling better soon. All the best to you and Rebecca and your lovely dogs.

Mimi

Upon further inspection he realised the rhino had indeed exploded... Close? :)

Gentle Grudge

Such a pleasant intro

Kaleb Bowen

Hope you get better Dan!

Natalie Schmidt

So..... Dans getting old and enjoys blasting kids in the face? Alarm bells there.

Binxx

I just picture through out the whole podcast every time the typing stops in the back ground it is just Rebecca turning her head to look at Dan wondering what the hell he is talking about. Always good to hear from ya Dan. Also I am a big Kojima fan, can't wait for Death Stranding even if it is just a huge cut scene hidden as a game.

Tim Ackley

Dan if you're on a mission to play every From Software game, have a look at Enchanted Arms. It's one of their lesser known games, it came out on PS3/360, and was published by Ubisoft. It even has Liam O'Brien as one of the major voice actors. It had a weird amount of support for a game that was... well a bit odd. The simplest way I could describe it is: It's From Software's take on Pokemon. I don't know if links work here but this is the intro trailer for it, https://youtu.be/r8CdPcosFqk

Really sorry to hear you have been having such a hard time of it lately, fuck Youtube and it’s shitty ever increasing income, I’ve doubled my pledge to hopefully go a tiny way to making up the shortfall, because even though your output has decreased (and quite rightly so - you need to concentrate on your health man) I still want to support you and love what you do. Sending positive thoughts and best wishes for the coming weeks, all the best with the therapy, as someone who benefits from therapy myself I hope it works for you and that you find it a positive outlet.

Been playing on the same cookie clickers file since it came out. I'm on 47 quindecillion cookies :P

Skylos

Sigrid's debut album also came out on that same day. It's excellent.
