2021-04-30 23:39:36 +0000 UTCLmao the fact that Dan hasn't heard of art rock really shows how little he knows about music

2021-04-20 10:52:21 +0000 UTCNever, NEVER in my life have I thought I would hear the phrase "Camp is my favorite Gambino album." Genuinely the worst hip hop record I have ever subjected myself to. But 10/10 podcast as always; keep it up Dan.

2021-04-20 07:12:44 +0000 UTCDan, you mentioned about looking for and finding a new Therapist. What site/app did you use?

2021-04-19 19:51:05 +0000 UTCdan you’d should listen to the beths! they’re an indie rock band from new zealand, both their albums so far are amazing

2021-04-19 14:00:46 +0000 UTCThe fact that Dan still doesn't pronounce Bowie correctly is both painful and hilarious.

2021-04-18 11:22:43 +0000 UTCNot that anybody, especially Dan given what he said in this (:p), cares, but here's my list of top 10 albums 1. Islands by King Crimson (prog/jazz fusion) 2. In Absentia by Porcupine Tree (prog/post-prog) 3. Lateralus by Tool (prog/post-metal) 4. Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven by Godspeed You! Black Emperor (post-rock) 5. Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd (prog/art rock) 6. Hounds of Love by Kate Bush (art pop) 7. The Raven That Refused to Sing by Steven Wilson (prog/jazz fusion) 8. Ys by Joanna Newsom (baroque pop/prog folk) 9. Disintegration by the Cure (goth rock/art rock) 10. Remain in Light by Talking Heads (new wave/post-punk) I have a million honourable mentions, but this is my current 10, things move around a lot and drop out and come back in. I love classical music a lot but it doesn't really lend itself to a top 10 album list.

2021-04-18 11:17:59 +0000 UTCI have a feeling Dan doesn't like Imagine Dragons lmao

2021-04-18 11:08:44 +0000 UTCI would highly highly recommend going to see austrailian pink floyd live if you can as its the closest to an original pink floyd concert as you can get and they were absolutely phenomenal when i went to see them, one of the best concerts ive ever seen i cried tears of pure joy from the spectacle and if you love music and pink floyd it is well worth the effort!!!

2021-04-17 17:56:23 +0000 UTCBuffered this for a while then went for an hourlong walk, so of course, when Dan was ramping up for his mask-off trans-betrayal it suddenly stopped playing.

2021-04-17 13:34:51 +0000 UTCI remember you talking about James Acasters show that was livestreamed and only for a short time, thought you'd like to know he released it on vimeo: https://vimeo.com/ondemand/coldlasagne

2021-04-17 07:19:54 +0000 UTCI can't be the only one who now wants "8 out of 10 Podcats does countdown"?😂
2021-04-17 07:17:14 +0000 UTCSome recommendations for media. To Pimp a Butterfly by Kendrick Lamar (album), Yojimbo directed by Akira Kurosawa (Film), and if you do listen/watch these things, what are your thoughts?
Johnflipper5
2021-04-17 02:28:38 +0000 UTCWould also recommend "Red" by "Gravity Machine". A fairly recent prog(ish) rock record, and very very good (IMO). Beware though, it's a little depressing. Which is quite understandable, really, considering the subject matter....

2021-04-16 20:55:43 +0000 UTCif there is a q&a i have a semi question - what are your thoughts on this video (https://youtu.be/Q19qRUBj-ic) its helped me through some really tough times but some people think its outdated/problematic. just wanted to know what you think and if it should still be used as a helpful tool. many thanks
louis
2021-04-16 19:26:00 +0000 UTCAs you mentioned a possible q and a, question for you! Given that your office is beautifully decorated with cherished collectibles and dog fluff, have you done anything to sound proof it? As you can be loud sometimes and podcast recordings at 3.30 am aren’t too wife or neighbour friendly, just wondered how everyone else copes!

2021-04-16 17:48:28 +0000 UTCYour description of the Beatles sounds like you only heard their first few years of work. You should defo listen to the ‘White Album’!!!

2021-04-16 17:10:39 +0000 UTCOk, lesson learned; don't make your comment longer than one sentence, because Dan will absolutely just lose interest and stop after that point.
