Concept Sketch of Boone's Room Scene

I recently received an ask on Tumblr on whether Noelle has seen the mess in Boone's room. (For context, his room in the game is quite grim, with elements that suggest substance abuse, etc.)

There is indeed a scene early on in the story where Noelle had to reluctantly enter Boone's room, which was shown briefly in one panel of the recent "Strangers" comic. Above is one of its concept sketches.

It was a very hard scene to write because of how heavy it is, but addressing the issue is also part of their growth. I feel like my explanation alone cannot do this scene justice, so we're likely gonna have to wait until the upcoming main story comic reach this point. But the gist of it is that Boone was injured in an accident and refused treatment so they had to do an intervention. Noelle always avoids crossing privacy line (since she also has her own secrets to keep) but she was the one close enough to get to him.

Hopefully I can present the whole thing well enough in the comic. *praying*
