Some Lore on Noelle and Christine

I mentioned a bit on Tumblr about Noelle's bisexuality and her previous romantic interest in Christine Royce, and got a request to talk about it further. Here's some details on them without diving into major spoilers for future comics.

Noelle met Christine during the Dead Money arc around early part of the story. Although they had some moments during that time, Noelle's crush on Christine was very brief since it conflicted with a lot of external factors at the time: the Sierra Madre heist for one, and also something bad that was going on at home with the other companions. She didn't have time to properly process her feelings which was already not her strong suit to begin with. It's like the comfort and strength they provided each other during that vulnerable time sort of sparked an attraction, but the mess of the situation also pushed everything back down.

By the time Noelle learned she was actually THAT Christine, it wasn't too hard for her to discard the feeling and instead try to convince Christine to come back to the Mojave with her to meet Veronica, however Christine refused and they parted ways.

In our version of FONV, Christine did return to the Mojave several months later. I still wanna leave the dialogues unwritten for now, but reintroducing Christine to Veronica is gonna be fun. As for Noelle, at this point she would view Christine almost like a former teenage crush. There wasn't any serious romance rival going on between them. But Boone might be a bit intimidated by the presence of another badass sniper in the proximity haha.

I hadn't talked about Christine and Noelle until now since it kind of needs context and I wasn't sure how deep I should go. Glad I found a way to casually talk about it a bit. Dead Money is one of my personal favorite arcs in Noelle's story so I'm very excited to draw comics for that part!
