Mermaid & Pirate AU from Mermay 2022

May is here! Hope everyone is doing well. There is a popular drawing trend for every May called Mermay where artists draw their characters as a mermaid. Last year I did one for Noelle and made it into a small pirate AU to include the companions. I hadn't posted the art here since they were from before I made my Patreon and I wanted to post them again in May, so here they are!

Also as usual I couldn't resist coming up with a bit of AU lore. In this world, the companions are a crew of a merchant ship with Cass as their captain. While sailing the ocean, they encountered the curious mermaid Noelle who came to steal their knick-knacks. And of course, pufferfish ED-E. ♥

I'm not sure if I would get to draw anything Mermay for this year. If I do it would probably be in the same AU because I love continuity hehe. We talked a bit about tropical mermaid king Leon and glowing deep sea jellyfish Claire, both of which seem really fun to draw.
