BIG changes to my Patreon

Thank you so much to everyone who supports me through this platform, truly, and now I’m announcing an expansion of this Patreon page and some changes. At first this page started out as the Shadiversity Patreon where I invited anyone to make a contribution per dedicated video, but since that time the things I’m making have expanded from medieval related videos into novels, comic books, gaming content on a new channel called GAME KNIGHT, and I have more projects on the horizon such as building castles and maybe even video games.

It didn’t make sense to make an entirely different Patreon account for my new channel, another one for people who wanted to support the writing of my novels, and then another one for my future castle building plans. Yet at the same time it wouldn’t make sense to post each new upload of Game Knight here as a “paid for” post on the original setting of a donation with every creation because that might cause people to donate far more than they expected.

For these reasons I’m changing this from being the “Shadiversity” Patreon page to the “Shad Brooks” Patreon page and from “per creation” donations to monthly, where anybody is free to contribute and support any of the projects I’m working on and content I’m producing, such as Shadiversity, Game Knight, my novels, my comics, my castle plans, or any other new project I announce. If you’re not interested in supporting these other projects fear not, for your original intent to support Shadiversity is still being carried out with you current pledge.

This change will have a significant negative impact on my Patreon’s total donation amount as people who pledged to donate a dollar per video should now be automatically set to donate a dollar per month, which based on my average video uploads will reduce the total monthly amount I receive by at least 70%. Regardless I feel these changes are important when thinking about the future and I thank every patron here from the bottom of my heart.
