Big stick with grappling wins everytime. Same idea of alot of whats taught with basic marine corps combatives (MCMAP). Use grappling and hand to hand techniques to break contact creat distance to use your weapon. Use whats most effective against your opponent. You dont have to beat them up, or choke them out if you can disengage and use a force multiplier.
