Alexi Iray Test

Heya! I was doing another experiment with Iray (CPU-only, alas) and had a pretty good night with it. I thought I would share it with you guys. :)

I'm still far from where I wanna be with it before I can leave the 3Delight engine behind (and not having the proper video card hurts quite a bit,) but I am learning some techniques that will help when that happens. I did notice that his nails are super glossy, something I missed with the surface settings. I guess he just got back from having his nails done... he's gotta look good!

This image is 680 iterations and ran for almost 2 hours. I'm guessing that rendering it with a high-end Nvidia card, it would've taken less than a couple of minutes. If I let it go longer, it might've helped with the eyes and some more of the grain in areas, but I need to get back to work on the next project.
