I've kinda gotten into the habit of going right to Conan for Halloween time, I guess because of how incredibly perilous his journeys can get -- though, of course, he manages to win the day in the canonical stories!
This story brings his sworn brother, Zula, along for a quest given to him by a village elder; a quest to retrieve a sacred object filled with mysterious ashes. The barbarian and Wasai agree and make the short trek north. However, they are ambushed along the way by Morgan, a familiar bandit, and his twin brother, Jac.
And that isn't all that awaits them before the end...
