What I'm Working On #011

Hey all!  Apologies for the delayed update this week.  My main focus has been on finishing the update of the Regency mod, with a goal of releasing tomorrow morning.  I have entered the final testing stages.

Regency

This has been a week of adding detail and finalizing the smaller points of the update.

I worked on the scripting portion of Church Holdings so now they properly dispense money and pay Curates if hired.

I added reward traits to the aspirations and some new custom interactions to go with that I'm very excited about.  Matriarchs/Patriarchs can Share Generational Knowledge, which automatically gives the targeted Sim an additional skill point in one of the originating Sim's skills.  Sims who complete the Rags to Riches aspiration get the Nouveau Riche trait, and can quite literally Buy Friendship.

Sims can also now host Charity Galas and raise money for their beloved charities, even if they aren't in the Socialite career, and Socialites will get one of 9 randomized buffs when returning home from their rabbitholes.

Class Dynamics

This update also includes some more immersion for how social classes interact with each other.  First, this is a less visible thing, but autonomy is turned up or down for interactions between classes. (IE - Rich Sims will tend to stick to socializing with their own.  Gentry should never autonomously interact with Servants.  Middle Class Sims will be slightly less likely to interact with the other classes, but their autonomy is tuned as low as the other classes.)

Sims will also get periodic buffs from being a part of their social class:

And Sims will get additional positive or negative buffs when interacting outside their social class, or flirting.

In total, there are 26 new visible moodlets just for social classes.

Hireable Governesses and Finishing School

Your Sims can now attend Finishing School as an after-school activity, or hire a Governess who will come to your house, take care of your children, and mentor them in etiquette or other activities.  Sims who attend Finishing School will gradually gain Etiquette, Writing, Charisma, and Flower Arranging while at class.

There is a LOT of new content in this update, so I plan to spend today and tomorrow thoroughly updating the guide to make this mod more accessible.
