The governess wont leave. She keeps showing up after cancelling the service, asking her to leave and deleting her. I have to remove her constantly. It makes the mod nearly unplayable. I thought it was fixed in the newest update but it's not.

I appreciate all the hard work! I'm sure this is a hard mod to maintain <3. The social dancing is driving me up the walls right now because they do anything but dance with the correct partner, but that these amazing animations exist at all is truly appreciated <3. Thank you! If you find the time at some point in the future, maybe you would consider turning these into animations for pose players? That would help tremendously <3.

I downloaded this the other day, but didn't look closely at the files until just now. I'm somehow missing the config file. Do I need to make a change using in game cheats to get the file to initially show up? A somewhat related question: If I turn off Social Standing, is that for one save or for all of my saves? I have a couple of stories I want to tell through Sims where that feature will be useful. But it isn't something that fits into my normal gameplay. I just want to be prepared for if I need to adjust settings each time I go from a save where I want to use those features to one where I don't.

Hi, first of all, I love your work; this is one of my favorite mods. However, i have a problem: my Sims are causing scandals even when I disable them. An exception is thrown indicating an error in the Regency section, and my game freezes for a while. After removing the mod, I haven't had this problem again. I would appreciate your help.

ok so I added 2.56 after coming here from freezing through travel, I did exactly what I did before I found 2.56 and boom I can do what I could'nt before, I am going to continue to play on this for a bit and will test tea party and see if i get other exceptions come up, I will let you know how I get on. Hi, I'm still playing with the mod because it really enriches the gameplay of Royalty and Legacy, but I feel like these insane error messages (whenever they come, they cause every error message possible) seem random. It happens on the etiquette book, the stereo, and the estate object. But not always everywhere. Just often. I even get that with the duet and many other things like mentoring. The last thing might not be related. Maybe it's from multiple mods, but so far it's playable, and I have updated everything I can think of. Please don't stress. I just saw the new social dances and although my Sims don't gain social dancing skill from actually performing them lol - they look absolutely fantastic! I adore watching them dance. If you find the time at some point I would love it if the skill gain would also come from the social dancing not just from the older dances + the new walz from the EP maybe? <3

Social Music on the stereo is also giving instant LE and doesn't work. Also I noticed since the last few updates all my sims have the option to review law thingys on there Regency Diary objects. Basically they have all the career options on there even though they are not and never have been in those careers. I don't know what the original names were since I use the translation sorry <3

Hello, I'm currently playing on V2.5 since I haven't updated my game yet (playing offline). My sim has the illegitimate trait. I'm trying to get his step-mother to accept him as a legitimate child, as he his the son of her husband's first wife. I looked through your mod guide and couldn't find this: "You can 'Ask To Accept' from the child’s perspective, or 'Accept Child' from the parent’s perspective to solve this." The only options show when selecting the Regency Menu while interacting with another sim are "Ask to Dance" and "Choose Parasol Color".

Additionally, when I click on the mailbox to activate everything (class dynamics, legitimacy, Lady Whistledown), it seems like nothing is actually working. Hi, I downloaded this and I absolutely love the mod however I have some problems. I have all the package files, the aspiration, careers etc but I am missing the text files and most important the config file. I redownloaded and unzipped it three times to check for the files but all I get is package files. Hey :) so I have a question. Yesterday I did installed the mod for the first time and somehow I have some minor problems while playing. Somehow I couldn`t get a title with the mailbox or the computer for the patriot of my household. Then I couldn`t send my children to Finishing School before their debut. And first and formost, it`t not automaticlly decide my Estate. I did searced the mod folder, why it`s now working properly and with your guide I`ve saw, that there was no estate_savedata folder. Mod seems to be working fine for the most part! Hey, I’ve had the same problem with straight out of CAS families or when you introduce the mod to a save where it hadn’t existed previously. The only way I could work around this was to set it up from scratch. Move them in temporarily or set the relationships in cas and later take them away. Stuff like that. Because I’m pretty sure the mod doesn’t differentiate between previously illegitimate children and those who were legitimate from the start :)

Anybody else having the problem with the events? I can't hold them in the lot I wanted to. I have figured out that for whatever reason you can only hold the deb ball at a generic or residental lot. But even then a ton of lots are missing. When I set the intended lot to generic it still does not show up. Restarting, deleting localthum-thingy does not help ...

I have also had this issue, though I've only tried having the inventory stay with the ghost. I've only had an estate pass down correctly when I was playing that household during the sim's death (and the inheriting Sim was still in the household)

hey everyone, just curious if anyone knows how to get the estate to pass down properly? i've noticed that sometimes the estate disappears after a sim dies, I think it started happening after the life & death update. should the inventory stay with ghost, go to the family inventory, or be deleted in order for it to pass to the assigned heir? thanks :)

I have been "killing" myself all day trying to make a translation for this mod but since it's so huge I haven't finshed. However: The more I stare at it the more it bothers me that my Sim keeps getting the >Landed Gentry Trait. She's poor and doesn't have any land. Her grandfather and mother have had an estate but the mother sold it and the grandfather has died. She ran away because she got pregnant. She's anything but Landed Gentry. I keep deleting the trait with UI Cheats but it keeps showing up and I can't figure out how to give her a normal trait or whatever -.-

As a fan of both Jane Austen and Bridgerton, I love this mod! I have a small suggestion though. I'm playing a large household with maids, so the maids work from home. It comes really tedious to manage the family and also assign cleaning tasks to the maids. Could there be an option to set mate that work from home to automatically clean?

Hi Diana! Sorry for the delay. Are you getting any LEs? It sounds like there may be a bug in the Whistledown code, and I'm overhauling it for the next update. As for the fans, have you tried pulling the objects into your main mods folder? Others have expressed that if objects are too deep in folders, they don't always appear. Either way I'll look into it!

Hi, I updated everything, all my other mods, checked the injector. Everything seems to work fine, but Lady Wisthledown papers never arrive, even when I click on the Sims to read it, no notification. The fan is not there when they are fanning themselves, even though I bought the fan at Build/Buy. Even when I put it in their inventory.

i adore this mod, but for some reason, all features stopped working. I don't get the interactions like "swoon" and "drop handkerchief", i don't even get the pie menu when clicking on the mailbox and my whisteldown doesn't show up during the week no matter how many days go by. This mod is amazing but unfortunately the last two weeks I’ve been trying to figure out what has been making my game glitch, and it’s seems when this mod is installed it makes my game glitch out. For example I will go into CAS and it loads the faces of the sims and I can’t switch between who I edit. Sometimes even makes it freeze when I try to save. Also doesn’t load households in manage world. Seems correlated potentially to the attributes and traits.

There is actually a .cfg file that comes with the mod where you can specify wealth threshold and all as well as dis/enable Lady Whistledown and set the dates it's published on.

Hi :) Thank you so much for the update patch! Weirdly, the issue I've been having with sims being unable to purchase an estate (or all mailbox-interactions, really) unfortunately still persists after installing the updated mod. The mod-cheats are also not available to me. As a work-around, I tried to install WickedWhims, to use it's "add trait"-function to see if giving a sim a "Member of the Ton" or "Gentry" trait would somehow unlock the mailbox-interactions (invitations, being presented to the queen, purchase estate/commision/house of lords seat). I've been unsuccessful so far. If you have any ideas how to deal with this, they are greatly appreciated.

i love the mod so far, i just had a suggestion; im using this mod in tandem with the royalty mod and llazyneiph has left a tutorial to customise the auto-class assignment file to dictate which sims count as "wealthy" or "peasants", i was wondering if it would be possible to do the same with this mod? or at least list somewhere what the thresholds are for wealth vs peasantry (i looked at the mod guide but it just says 'money and lot value' without giving any exact numbers for either). all of my sim households are currently deemed wealthy by your mod, even my off-the-grid homesteading household and i think its because they have so many plants and homemade goods on their lot inflating their net worth despite having less than 30,000 simoleons (plus i use a lot of cc furniture). maybe have it so only sims that have purchased an estate can be called wealthy? or some dollar amount in simoleons that decides which class they are

I have created a "widow" with 2 adult sons but the mother gets the spinster trait instead is there a possibility to add additonal cheats for all traits (+dowager / +widow). This is my favorite mod by far (and I have soooo many mods). Just one small request for whenever you get around to it: Could you add dance markers for balls? I want my sims to dance in a particular place rather than in kitchens or wherever else they end up. Also! Maybe adding a feature where many dancers all start at the same time in the same room doing the same dance with their partners as the other partners... like the ball dancing scenes in bridgerton.

hi, great idea for a mod but absolutely nothing works, I installed everything as you suggest, but there is no interaction between sims, I can't turn on lady whistledown, the governess just appears and it's impossible to interact with her, the etiquette cheat doesn't work, there are a lot of bugs , I hope it works soon because it is incredibly interesting.

I love love this mod! i love playing with more historical builds and cc so this is great for me! I only have a couple bugs, one being that the governess does not do anything when asked to, and the other being that the scandals don’t seem to work. My sims continually get caught cheating and nothing happens negatively. Haven’t encountered any other issues, personally! I’d love to see an option to disable who can autonomously ask people to dance though, as for some reason a lot of parents keep dancing with their adult children lol

This mod is not functioning properly...there are no regency menus on the mailbox (for estates) or on the sims when you click on them for parasols, fans, etc. I am unsure if there are any other issues as I am fairly new to the mod but those seem to be the ones that I have noticed right away. Literally everything is working perfectly, except for some reason when I turn on my cheats and use shift to click on the mailbox I never see the pie chart options. Am I doing something wrong? I've been using this mod 'casually' and I feel a little clueless in how to set up people of different classes and such for the full effect. And the newspapers are very bored of me. Do you have any suggestions of save files or content (creators or otherwise) that goes with your mod? I suppose this is a question for anyone who sees this.

Hii I really love this mod but I have had a few issues. First, the governess does not work at all unfortuanately :(. Whenever I asked her to teach my child to paint or piano they both (the child and Governess) just reset and nothing happens. The second issue I am having is whenever I call for a vacation day in the Socialite career, my sim is never able to finish the call because she just resets and the vacation day never goes through. Hi, my sims version is 1.105 and I'm seeing a similar error. I tried deleting all the mods except this one, but it didn’t help. I have careers, character traits. However, all the buttons from the character menu and mailbox have disappeared. They cannot study etiquette, but they fan themselves periodically. Hope this helps to fix the error. thank you for the update, it's been working great! i've been trying to get the "improper marriage" relbit for one of my couples since before the update and thought I'd ask what triggers this. Per the mod guide I didn't have my couple ask permission to marry - one of the sims had an active scandal at the time of the marriage and couldn't ask permission to marry, plus the partner's parent already hated her. I tried adding it as a cheat manually after they were married but it didn't impact the gameplay. Would it be possible to know how that relbit is triggered/the gameplay outcomes?

Hi, that is super weird! It wouldn't be that the object itself is missing but a script error instead. Is there any chance you have the mod inside any subfolders? It sounds like the XML injector is injecting the new interactions (Charities + Churches) but the old interactions (Estates) aren't appearing on the mailbox. Sorry for the delay in responding!

No matter what I do i can't have sims marry. They'll court go to ask and get rejected due to a scandal. But what scandal?? These are sims I've never had leave the house much or interact with people other than the one they're courting. It's happened to 3 sims over 3 households. I love this mod but can't marry anyone.

I've downloaded it this mod multiple times and I still cannot get it to work. The lady whistle down paper shows up the fan and a few other things, but I have no interactions when it comes to the actual Regency mod that are supposed to be included. I also have no options on the mailbox whatsoever for this month. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I've read the information for this mod at least five times.

As a Jane Austen fan I simply love the idea of balls and an etiquette skill, but I don't like Bridgerton. Hey! Thank you so much! Regency Romance doesn't override any game code so it should be compatible with all other mods. I know the Royalty Mod also has social classes, but for Regency all the social classes really do is gatekeep certain interactions (so servants won't react to scandals or autonomously fan themselves). There's also a config file so you can set what income brackets it auto-assigns those traits to. Hope this helps!

The mod is working in game (scandals, estates) but regency isn't coming up on the pie menu! xml injector is up to date. Anything I can do?

hey !! i'm not sure if i'm right but the wrong files were added for the regency romance, as the files say .41 though the update is .42. i tried putting them in my game anyway but it still came up with a LE so i think this might be the case :))

The files did update, right? The Zip says .42 but the folder inside says .41.
