2011 Chad Daybell Interview

Comments

If he wasn't an evil murderer I would dismiss him as a kook with his lock-picking ghost and someone trying to make himself more successful than he actually is with his "newspaper background" bragging.

Man, this is a gem! Thanks for posting this, wowza!

“Tad goes bad” and so does Chad.

“After I cross-examined her enough…” Pffffft. Your turn on the hot seat now, Oh Mighty One. 😏

What stands out to me is that he “fact checked” her NDE based on how closely her experience lined up with LDS doctrine. So.increadiblt.myopic!!! And ultimately hypocritical as his beliefs took a big deviation from mainstream beliefs. And it was humorous to see the host trying to move him along or draw out some charisma. There is none.

"when you're an editor 8 hours a day you kinda get burned out and don't want to go home and write...:" Many famous authors throughout history have kept their day jobs. Anthony Trollope, Franz Kafka, Harper Lee, Wallace Stevens, Vladimir Nabokov, Kurt Vonnegut, Agatha Christie. It goes without saying that Chad is NOT in their league.

"interesting things to note: Chad makes no mention of his personal NDE’s. He also says his books are fiction." It wasn't until he realized that he could make money off of having NDE's that he proclaimed he had had them. Suzanne Freeman was one of the first authors to have her work published by Spring Creek Book Company, which the Daybells launched in 2004. The first book, “Led by the Hand of Christ,” focused on Freeman’s near-death experience, and over the next eight years, she partnered with Chad on two more projects. The book was released, and Freeman began speaking about her story at different events. Years later, she learned Chad claimed to have two near-death experiences, and she found it odd that he had never said anything to her about them. “He never mentioned he had a near-death experience. We had a lot of conversations, and I would think that might come up,” Freeman says. “Having an NDE (near-death experience) myself, people come to me and tell me their stories, but he never once told me a story. He only said he had some sacred experiences of his own, and I respected that. Usually, in my experience, if you had a near-death experience, people want to share it because they can’t share it just to anybody, and I would totally be understanding.” https://www.eastidahonews.com/2020/06/author-who-worked-with-chad-daybell-says-hes-been-deceived-and-is-calling-on-him-to-do-the-right-thing/ He claimed to have had the first NDE when he was 17 in 1985. So why the interrogation of Suzanne? Fishy, at the very least. This (and other things as well) is why I think he is a charlatan grifter, NOT a true believer. If he were a true believer he would not have to lie about his experiences. As we have discussed before, none of his teachings were original. He "borrowed" everything and made the rest up as he went along. IMO he is a PIMO Mormon who was just looking for a way to make money without leaving the fold. Think about it. His entire life would have been upended had he not "gone along to get along." He had no money, no job skills to speak of. All that blather about Tammy being his soulmate. GAH, he makes me sick.

Erica A. Zwick

Yes - and also eww. He's so slimy.
