Just joined book club so watching the Live back and haven’t gotten through all of it, but, I wanted to say that if you read Hannibal, at the end Clarice and Lector are lovers. So I think that there was always a sexual component to it. Maybe he viewed her as the Virgin Mary initially in his drawing in prison . As in somewhat unattainable, idealized, pure but obviously damaged in some ways. I also enjoyed the Hannibal series— and how Mads Mikkelson portrayed him—definitely not as refined as Anthony Hopkins, but close.

But even after purchasing both the audio and video of every book, I haven’t got to see a book club. I am thrilled this is available. Please do not take it down. Some of us only have time to do it in chunks. Thank you.

2023-07-07 02:53:39 +0000 UTCTom Harris wrote a marvelous series. Dr lector has his own sensibilities. Once you understand his thought process you can track his form of justification for the kill. This didn’t translate in the script. Harris supposed that children get work ethic from the opposite gender parent. Starling’s father was law enforcement. She is the embodiment of a good lead. Smart resourceful While she is “bait” for Hannibal she also learned from him and applied her training. The ending is a life lesson. If the only option left is a shot in the dark, empty the clip
