Have to weigh in again, sorry. People wondering whether there is fraud involved…. Just check out OUR’s reported numbers in terms of donations to the cause. We’re talking millions every year. Since they didn’t do real operations, their costs would mainly entail hotels, airfare, food and drink, and the many tips for the strippers! In other words, they traveled like high rollers on a mission to spend, spend, spend. If you read the details of the lawsuits, remember all the times Tim, while in the states, would summon his “couple’s ruse” partner of the moment to meet him at some luxury resort. They racked up the bills for those excursions. How shocking it was to hear from one “partner” that she had to foot the bios but her husband was getting upset because it was their joint monies. Tim kept promising to pay her back, not sure if he ever did. Yet, they had millions in their coffers. The problem was that submitting for reimbursement on those trips would have raised red flags, so instead he acted like the deadbeat employer and fraudster that he was. All total, I’m sure our heads would spin if we knew the real amount of monies he squandered. If he doesn’t land in prison for 20 years I will be extremely ticked, because this man is the lowest of the low. I do feel badly for his sweet kids who will have to hear all of this play out in public, which is why I called him the lowest. Please don’t think that his sweet wife is an innocent in all of this. Details are starting to leak about what she did know about his escapades. If I were her, I’d be furious with Tim for taking their newly returned missionary out to strip clubs and giving him pills for his anxiety. In the end., this will probably be the most sordid of all this decade!!!

Getting allllll that negative feedback calling me a predator when I would mention sketch things about OUR to friends that worked out at their CrossFit gym. Then Meg Conley’s article came out a few years ago and I felt like I wasn’t crazy. This grifting playbook is embedded in Mormonism and is a disease. Combined with Visions of Glory and QAnon it’s completely out of hand and so many more people are going to lose their families because of these things. :(

2023-11-13 01:40:47 +0000 UTCSomething that I have noticed about Tim Ballard over the years is, in all of his talks and his documentary ("Operation Toussaint" came out 2018, free to watch if you have Amazon Prime may be informative) is that his stories never changed. If I was going to give a Ted Talk about parenting, or hospice care, or wilderness medicine, something that is a huge part of my life and I do daily, what I would talk about now and what I would have talked about ten years ago, would not be the same. I've had more experiences, I have more stories. As someone who works in medicine and sees a lot of naked bodies, yeah... it's not the same. My heart goes out to the law enforcement who are tracking down criminals and who see child pornography. That would be an awful burden to bear. Seeing someone naked being presented in a sexual manner and seeing someone naked being presented in a medical way... it's just not the same. I don't think that Tim started out this way. I think he wanted to do good and he wanted to be the hero. At some point (I'm not sure when) he lost his way. I'm not trying to excuse what he has done, he needs help. I've read one of his books... I think it was the Abraham Lincoln one. He is a much better writer than Daybell. What I remember thinking about it was that he, as so many LDS members do, tried to tie everything back to the LDS church. I've noticed that Christians do this in general, and I find it annoying.

Why is he only being sued civilly and not criminally. Where is proof that he rescued anyone? Why would you go to other countries when we have so many issues in our own country. Working internationally is very different than working in the US. I think the money trail needs to be followed and he needs to show proof of each child rescued and where is the follow up! Dr. John is right once again. Sex, power (hero), control, money.

He’s got such arrogance to be able to live this fantasy while raking in millions- and be surprised that he’s been exposed. It’s great it happened immediately after he was on such a high of the movie success. I’m hoping his victims get every penny he has made through these exploits. I know the cia can’t release peoples work history from confidentiality reasons- but what about stolen valour? Could they have called him out and said “ no he wasn’t an operative rescuing children with us” ? I don’t think I could watch Sounds of freedom- unless I have some urge to purge and have a bucket handy. I can’t handle Hollywood hero movies at the best of times. Your source- Did they happen to have experience with undercover work or training and tactics? Cos the couples ruse just sounds so ridiculous. I’m sure most the criminals saw him coming and said “ oh here’s that Mormon guy again, pretending to be a gangster- he doesn’t realise gangsters wear suits and don’t bring their wives with them to buy women and children - or ask them to do lap dances” Also- kids Tim may have “rescued”? Did we ever find out what happened to the kids who went missing at the border back a few years ago? His wife has an adoption agency apparently- I wonder if they snaffled some of those kids and adopted them out? Last I heard there were hundreds they’d “lost” This sounds like something I could imagine fitting in with Tim and his wife’s MO. I would like to know where his wife gets the children she’s adopting out. And omg- the gynaecologist justification! He’s like an immature kid playing fantasy games. Like Chad- but pubescent so every game he plays is drenched in his focus on sexual predation under the guise of heroism. Such a knob!
