Two sets of parents have increasingly intensified religious beliefs, and the grandparents are calling it a cult. The similarities to the Daybell case are eerie. The grandparents are in Louisiana, and the missing parents and children have made their way to the Phoenix area.

Active Temporary Restraining Order on the two Brister Children.
#101738 State of Louisiana Parish of Vernon Dated 09-27-2022 (C1,C2)
The active missing persons case is on the Brister family. (M1)Justin “Chance” Brister 07/25/1986. (M2) Heather Bourg Brister 10-12-1990 their two minor children (C1, C2).
The Brister family left Louisiana after giving away all of their possessions and have walked away from their lives in Louisiana.
Justin “Chance” Brister and his wife are with their 2 children.
They left on Sept 01, 2022 after giving away a truck and all of their possessions to others to follow their friends the Fortenberrys and “ rid the world of dark spirits” according to his Mother and Step Father Daniel and Denise Harper.
Their religious beliefs became very out of touch with the rest of the family's religious beliefs and were thought to be “Cult Like” in nature and ideology.
They walked away from everything and left with $400 in their pockets stating “God will provide”.
They Brister family left with 2 adults and 2 children in a Maroon 2017 GMC Acadia SUV with Louisiana plates 687BNO
(they have since expired and the insurance has lapsed).
They are in the company of another couple, 2 adults and 1 minor child who are not officially missing yet. They are (A1) Joshua James Fortenberry and (A2) Brittany Fortenberry and their 4 year old minor son (C3).
The Fortenberry family in Louisiana is working on getting a missing persons report through the police department and court system at this time. They are seeking the same missing persons case and temporary protection order given to the Daniel and Denise Harper on behalf of their kids the Bristers and Grandkids.
After exhausting all funds, food, shelter they were heard stating “God will provide”. They asked for nothing from their family in Louisiana while on a call. When questioned about feeding the kids and providing hygiene and shelter they again stated “God will provide”. Louisiana family decided to transfer money to them for provisions for the kids on September 19, 2022 in Heber, Arizona.
They were camped in a Circle K Store parking lot with a dead battery and no provisions. They stayed there for at least 6 days. In their words “waiting for God to provide”. Someone gave them $50 for gas and they have since made it to Buckeye, Arizona.
4 adults and 3 children are believed to be in or around Buckeye Arizona as of 10-09-2022 around 8:30pm.
Their vehicle was picked up on surveillance equipment in place in the town of Buckeye, Arizona. This was positive confirmation of the vehicle and its plate in the area of I-10 and Watson Rd heading South Bound around 8:30 pm on 10-09-2022.
The Fortenberrys were believed to have the same religious beliefs or even stronger religious beliefs. They have stated something about “waiting for the SpaceShip to pick us up” amongst other statements.
They have all acted in a manner that is "not reasonable" according to the family. The families are very concerned for the safety and well being of everyone, especially the children.
All of the adults are believed to be self proclaimed “Sovereign Citizens and Anti Government”.

Greetings to all I just signed up and am listening to all the podcasts. I also would like to know if these families have been located? Are the grandchildren and grandparents in touch with one another? It’s been many years since I’ve been in the White Mountains of Arizona and didn’t realize it had a cult following. Your additude is how someone sees a problem and wants these kids to not think don't worry the hunger pains will go away the lord will provide well he is providing he's giving you an opportunity to stick up for these kids they deserve better .

Also, do not announce to your parents that you are giving up work and housing and imposing this on your minors in the insane belief that “God will provide”. God does provide. There is work to be done, pay to be earned, housing food and clothing to be bought. Sitting on your butt refusing to “work for the man” is lazy, irresponsible and stupid.

2022-10-15 22:24:30 +0000 UTCI want to come at this separately I don't think it's right that these grandparents should be allowed to get on the internet, track down their adult children who are living their life the way they want because they miss their grandkid. I don't think it gives them the right to track down their adult children because they don't agree with their religion. There has not been any sign that I heard of them being in any harm. People say see you in the next life and when they just plan on not seeing anybody anymore for the rest of their life not that they're going to kill themselves. It just seems like these parents miss their grandkids and don't like that they're adult children are living their own life the way they want

2022-10-12 23:41:26 +0000 UTCI agree that they are adults and can do whatever they please and live wherever they please. And if they don't want to see their family they have that right. Grandparents wanting to talk to her see their grandkids isn't a reason for some family to be tracked down against their will unfortunately. Disagreeing with their adult children's religion isn't a reason for law enforcement to track them down either. I've said see you in the next life to people I knew I would never see again or didn't want to see again but never did that have anything to do with suicide. Just playing Devil's Advocate and even if in there in a cult that's their choice as long as they aren't for sure harming anyone. Personally I would be outraged if family I didn't want to see got on the internet tracked me down and involved law enforcement when I'm trying to live my life the way I want to.
