Dr. John talks Julie Rowe's latest claims about being killed by chad in a past life

We appreciated your comments tonight after posting that short clip of Julie Rowe. We decided to ask some of your great questions, and Julie is always a great convo starter at our dinner table.

Spoiler alert: While Julie claims victim status, Dr. John calls her culpable.

Comments

I noticed that she said, it was after, the children were found, that she was shown that Chad killed her- in a previous life. What a narcissist! Two kids were murdered and yet, she has to turn the attention , on herself. What a witch

Lauren and John Matthias

I wanted to leave this comment here so maybe it has a chance of reaching Lauren and Dr. John since they get so many! But what is SO striking to me, is that Chad treated Tammy like he treated his mom. Do you remember Heather Daybell describing how disrespectfully the brothers talked about and treated their mom, and how she wasn't having it for her own family? And Chad called his mom "Lazy" and hated taking out the trash? That's how Chad taught the kids to treat Tammy. That's how the kids sound, disdainful, disrespectful. and totally taking her for granted. I think it's important to point out as part of their family culture. Love y'all! Thanks for all you do!

The biggest issue with people going to see " healers " is they may not get the care they need to heal which can quite literally cost them their lives. I've witnessed this happening too many times and have personally heard a " healer " explain it away as " this was her journey "

jill leslie

After 4 years in jail do you think Chad still believes he has superpowers?

jill leslie

This! ♥️ spread love not fear

Stephanie Eubanks

Imagine if all of these people used their time and resources to help ACTUAL refugees or gave their tents to those experiencing homelessness. These prepper/visionaries should focus on helping REAL people in THIS probation.

Mary-Kathryn Tantum

After Julie Rowe’s latest tiktok’s I’m sure she killed several people. 5/24

New member to patreon. I’ve watched all of your YouTube episodes. Fantastic. Now looking forward to catching up on all patreon stuff. Question. Does Julie Rowe still have a following??

Ausiemoon

she is a wack

Alesha

Sounds like she can't stand it when she isn't the center of attention.

Cynthia Hart

Whens our next hidden video?

Crystal Swannack

Heath Ledger did that with the Joker. That messed him up. Now they have psychiatrist for those who play a roll like that.

Becca Moorhead

Julie: a murder book sounds good! Everyone is into murders books. I will tell people that Chad killed me in pasted life. Gotta start writing this.

Marcella Able

I purchased “A Greater Tomorrow “, before all of the Daybell Saga began. It just did not ring true to me, and I threw it in the trash bf I finished Chapter One. I did not feel she was connected in any special way. I actually got a bad feeling reading it.....

I don’t want to be argumentative, but as a practicing LDS member and tithe payer I can tell you that is not true. Tithing is a voluntary donation. The church doesn’t pay for any education for their members. Not even to BYU. We all value truth here, so I wanted give you the truth of tithing donations. 😊

Amber kohler

The LDS church has a mandatory tithing….a percentage that is taken right from their paychecks. That’s why there are so many doctors and dentists that are LDS the church helps them get their education and after they are physicians and they have to donate 10% of their income. The church gets paid back times 10.

We love Mary! There is a learning curve on Patreon but we are so so glad you found us!

Lauren and John Matthias

Listening to Dr John talking about other unhealthy behavior really helps me to look at my own life and those around me…. 💕💕 Omg I from the east bay , but live in Vegas. That’s so funny. 😂😂

Terri Roberts

Omg I’m technically challenged and after tonight’s live I actually caught I found this app! So much easier. So just want to thank you. I am Terri Mary Tracy’s good friend. I have so many opinions that I don’t say anything, except you two are THE BEST!! And the fact I found you AFTER I knew Mary was in your show, or I had forgotten lol.

Terri Roberts

I defer, of course to Dr.John's greater knowledge and experience, however, I think that Chad is a straight-up amoral conman. His books were originally marketed as fiction, but he decided that they were nonfiction when it became more advantageous to do so. At a certain point he realized that he needed to have a few NDEs under his belt to be considered a "visionary." Frankly, the fact that he appears to be throwing Lori under the bus, to me, is a proof he is a scammer. Criminal attorneys can give advice, but clients have the ultimate right to make most of the important decisions relating to their case, with very few exceptions. Her marries Lori a little over 2 weeks after Tammy's death and claims that it is what Tammy would have wanted. He wanted to make money, that was his original goal. He saw all the gullible and desperate preppers and doomsday cultists around him and manipulated and used them. We know for a fact he was looking for some sidepiece action. He insulted his family. "Tonight I figured out who I feel like," Daybell wrote to Lori in one message, dated July 13, 2019. "I’m a grown-up version of Harry Potter, who has to live with the Dudleys [sic] in his little space under the stairs. Every few weeks I get to escape and have amazing adventures with my Goddess lover, but then I have to return to my place under the stairs, feeling trapped. But I sense permanent freedom is coming!”

Erica A. Zwick

She is definitely batshit crazy. And a charlatan.

Erica A. Zwick

I love hearing John laugh. He is usually so serious

Kim Chapman

Erica, could be that she believes some of it. I think not all of it since Melanie Gibb mentions she questioned some of Chad's teachings. I guess there's really no telling. I get sick just trying to make sense of it all. It will never make sense to us.

Birdy

Nora, agreed they both had their true motives underneath.

Birdy

I think a discussion of IQs would be relevant 🤓

Nancy G

And just to be clear I think she is effing off her rocker. Poor lady is so ill. So I’m not defending her or her followers at all. She’s caused so much hurt for many people. I am just giving my perspective of why I sought people like her. Actually I saw her friends in st George that claim to heal like she does. 🙄😕

Amber kohler

Sadly I think that’s why a big percentage of her followers are religious people. Most religions have a donation system and most are based on faith. So it’s not a foreign concept to be asked to pay and pray. Right or wrong. I think dr John hit the underlying motivation of these followers. They are terrified of death. So if she can promise an easier way through or complete out of the suffering of death, it’s worth the price that makes them feel better. I know that was the case for me. My special needs son was thought to have a degenerative brain disease. The medical community has no answers for that so I turned to any and all energy healers to maybe heal my son. At least I was doing something. She attracts people that are looking for her and they happily donate. Because it makes them feel better.

Amber kohler

She says that she knew what happened after it happened, but they never came back to her to solve the case. She definitely is trying to get more attention. *rolling my eyes*

Vicki

Paradoxically, the more sacrifices we make for an imaginary story, the more tenaciously we hold on to it, because we desperately want to give meaning to these sacrifices and to the suffering we have caused... It is much easier to live with the fantasy, because the fantasy gives meaning to the suffering... Priests discovered this principle thousands of years ago. It underlies numerous religious ceremonies and commandments. If you want to make people believe in imaginary entities such as gods and nations, you should make them sacrifice something valuable. The more painful the sacrifice, the more convinced they will be of the existence of the imaginary recipient. A poor peasant sacrificing a valuable bull to [the Roman god] Jupiter will become convinced that Jupiter really exists, otherwise how can he excuse his stupidity? The peasant will sacrifice another bull, and another, and another, just so he won’t have to admit that all the previous bulls were wasted. Yuval Noah Harari

Erica A. Zwick

Analogous to the reason why the Mormon church doesn't pay for people to go on missions. (The church is worth 100 Billion dollars.) Missionaries are expected to work and save for their mission. This is the answer, straight outta the Mormon website: The sacrifice I would like to speak to you about is the sacrifice that accompanies missionary service. Since the beginning of time our Heavenly Father has called worthy servants to go into the world to proclaim the gospel and to testify of the Messiah, Jesus Christ. Many of those who have fulfilled their callings have done so with considerable sacrifice. The cost of a mission can seem like a big sacrifice, but the Lord knows what He wants you to do. President Boyd K. Packer, President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, has said, “I speak to that young man who doesn’t have any idea how he can finance a mission. I do not know either. But I do know this: if you have faith and determine that you will go, there will be a way.”

Erica A. Zwick

Chad does not believe, but I think Lori does. Lori complained that Charles was not her spiritual equal. She was looking for a spiritual powerhouse and Chad convinced her that he was it. He was looking for some girlie action.

Erica A. Zwick

Norah!!!! Exactly!!!!

Dal Pace

Agreed! But I will add Chad did what he did for sex with Lori. He had to be what she wanted him to be, someone who actually knew Jesus and talked to him. He told her what she wanted to hear in order to get her naked.

Nora Ann

Hubby does not charge me. Lol. Nor do I charge him. If she were true to herself, she’d ask for angel charging (pay what you can afford to or nothing). It’s up to the individuals.

Texicana Kirk

Charlatans are the only people who make you pay. Often times, healings are done benevolently without charge. My husband and I use healing hands on one another

Texicana Kirk

From personal experience I know that the way Julie and her fellow energy healers explain away why they charge money is this: if you fully believe in this healing you will pay your hard earned money. It’s a token of your belief in the healer. If you don’t want to pay, then it means you don’t fully believe you can be healed. So the healer won’t waste his time with people that don’t pay because they don’t fully believe. Although they say “we could do this for free, but it’s more a test of your faith in us. Total manipulation and bull crap!

Amber kohler

Absolutely! We are trying to post (at least an audio podcast version) of our hidden hours. I don’t blame you. YouTube can be hard for us too, and we love the community we have on Patreon.

Lauren and John Matthias

It’s fascinating that she is only claiming this now, when she feels she’s been given short shrift by media. I mean, it isn’t like it’s “true” but if she believed this … she would have been trumpeting this as soon as he was charged with murder. It’s just another attention grab because she feels she’s being overlooked.

Evelyn Yallen

I like, "The Hidden Hour" better than "TGIF". Will it be posted on patreon? Youtube is too catty for me. I know I don't have to look in the comment section, and I don't, but still. I prefer the feel of patreon.

Jennie Anderson

So well said

Lauren and John Matthias

We all want to feel special. Some folks seem to be desperate to be extraordinary - on a higher plane than the rest of humanity. I feel sorry for those people, honestly. It makes me sad that being a human isn’t enough. I do understand. The vastness of everything and the fact that we’re visitors here for such a minuscule amount of time is a lot to take in. I personally believe that if you don’t appreciate the fact that you’re here now - that this is all you’ve got for sure - you miss all the beautiful human experiences that make your life TRULY special.

Emily Lou

I am sure she has those that are loyal that live with the same ethics and goals. However, I would be curious to see the longevity of her average patron.

Jess Trump

So convenient Julie! She's just trying to stay 'famous' 🤦🏻‍♀️

TriciaTheTrucker

I think Julie, Chad, Lori, and the rest of the crazy cult crew don't believe themselves. They throw their random thought spaghetti to the wall to see what sticks (what people buy) and when something goes their way or benefitsthem, fits the agenda, etc , they take it as a spiritual confirmation that they must be truly divine. Chad even said in the Melanie Gibb recorded phone call how it wasn't a master plan and there's no way they could come up with all this. He sounded incredulous and that tone in his voice is one of the few times I can recall true emotion coming from him. I think he's surprised that what began as crazy thoughts/plans manifested themselves, so therefore he must be a prophet. And I don't believe he truly believes it. I think he and the others are in a place where they think they have to believe these things because it all came together as if it were a "divine" master plan.

Birdy

I’m curious how many homes she sold that people gave her. I imagine if it happened that those people are too embarrassed to come forward that they were duped. They would also be embarrassed when people comment how dumb they were for falling for it 😬

Edie Miller

Julie Rowe is the grifter who keeps on giving. Put me down for a copy of your book Dr. John. I so appreciate your wisdom on this case, and human behavior.

Tamara Wakeman Sukohl

Attention seeking whiner.

Janet Pinto

🤣💕

Lauren and John Matthias

So it would seem it would be a whole lot easier for somebody with a personality to adopt these personas and believe them. It's like a blank slate for them whereas for somebody without a personality disorder we have a core personality already when we take on a Persona like acting our personality is still there but this personality disorder people they take it on a lot stronger and believe it a lot harder because they have no real personality of Their Own

Crystal Swannack

I would love to hear more about John’s book, and his insights on how our fear of aging, decaying, and death affects how humans might behave in the world differently than for those who have a healthy acceptance of reality.

Melanee Evans

Excited for Friday’s Hidden Hour. The snark level was high talking about Zulema and I’m here for it!

Pamela Mosdell

Re Do they really believe this stuff? I’m with John- I think they kind of convince themselves by playing a role and it can become real. But if you add in cultural/spiritual things surrounding Chad and Julie- I’ve definitely seen some components of Mormon community that has Olympic level ability to shut off their brains from reality and focus on the spiritual internal mystical world. (Don’t come at me- I know there are loads of Normans ( normal Mormons ) but I’m just saying for those who maybe don’t have a “self” or have insecurity inferiority complexes, personal it y disorders, etc, I really can see that within the culture , that ability to shut off logic and put feelings or religiosity above science and logic- For those who want to escape into Lala land where they’re powerful and enlightened, can create a fantastical story of their amazing life, while their actual life is kind of hum drum. Most of us are happy with hum drum- but some people are always chasing rainbows - creating new reality to avoid the here and now. And bonus! Some have worked out how to make money out of it, which i think reinforces their need to stay “choosing to believe.” Which I didn’t think people COULD actually do, until this case and finding out more about some of these groups. But definitely I think some folks are better at blocking out their logical inner voice. I guess if they don’t have true self, maybe that inner voice isn’t there? Or isn’t consistent. Love “The hidden hour” is a great title.

Tad Auty

And writing books about the end times isn’t dark at all. Editing Julie down to 3 minutes is 3 minutes too long. I will say, Julie Rowe has been consistently the one person in this Motley Crew that I keep my eye on. She gains money under false pretense and then IMO embezzles it from her “charity”. I would love to see her found to be the criminal I believe she is!
