As a mom of kids with special needs it's clear to me that she tried to help him. The judgement and shaming towards parents is ridiculous. Id love to hear Dr John's analysis on this; how his mental health issues (diagnosed adhd and autism) affect the case and what's going on beyond those things. I'd also love a conversation about how inaccessible help is especially for kids.

2024-12-18 23:28:00 +0000 UTCThere is ANOTHER RECENT CASE in Utah, where the couple was Apparently headed for a separation..I don’t remember the Wife’s name, but the husband, Matthew Johnson, was an Utah Guardsman, and was reported missing. He was found days/weeks later in a shallow grave out in the West Desert and she was arrested. I do know she has a different last name than he does. I’ve mentioned this case to you before. But I would ALSO like you to stay on top of the Jared Bridegan Murder Case. Those Gardner Grandparents are knee deep in it! And should ALLOW THE FAMILY to see those kids!

I could summarize the book as it is in french. Btw, I just realized my membership is not high enough to be in the book club. I must have been grandfathered in for awhile but not any more. I don’t know why or how the medical board hasn’t taken his license. The courage and persistence of the Dr. who challenged Weiner is incredible. This needs to be investigated. I would love to have Hidden True Crime cover this. This is the definition of Hidden true crime as he hid all of this for a decade.

She lived very close to me and so it impacted me and my community as our circle of friends had overlap. Also, I work closely with many of the faculty at the school the children attended in New Canaan. I'm interested in Fotis' and Michelle's possible motives as well as the lawyer friend's possible motives too. Also, all of the planning that went into the crime is so diabolical. It may be just a cut and dried case, but it has really stuck with me.

And to be determined sane when she really didn’t seem to be. She’d been hearing voices since she was a child. Attorney Melanie Little knows a lot about the case as well. People come to you for excellent reporting and analysis, over time your channel will grow exponentially for being what everyone wants to which is excellent reporting, examination and study. Falling in to what is click worthy will get you clicks yet not absolute subscribers whom shall view. I am dying after the sentencing of Richard Allen to understand and being aired (as it’s the best sunlight) as to how YouTubers swayed public opinion on the case for both their, and the legal teams gain. I think it would benefit the true crime community to look at things in the perspective of not being duped and push it forward in a positive light vs the stranglehold it had, in let’s be honest, swaying people in a direction vs presenting facts which are upmost of importance for both victims and the accused. I think Lauren and I are about the same age, and I remember the Unabomber popping up in the news - especially when he was arrested. But I didn't know his whole story, and I couldn't think why he would be housed in supermax prison based on what I could remember. This week I've gone back to listen to the Project Unabomb podcast. It's densely packed with info, and 3 episodes in, I'm beginning to suspect that Ted's compulsion to protect nature and destroy technology were covers for his baseline cruel personality. I know we have the one quote about violence that Luigi put on his Goodreads page, but it makes me wonder about bigger concepts that may make for an interesting show - or several - when we toggle between Luigi, Ted, public opinion, and systems that were built to help people often doing everything but.

Over 100 civil suits pending over extreme and unnecessary physical and chemical restraints on patients, defiance of court orders to release patients, essentially wrongful imprisonment (?), and Medicaid fraud so vast that his claims tilted the ratios for the entire state. Very, very scary.

It's hit the news cycle again, so it's in the zeitgeist. I'm especially interested in the psychology of the murderer as well as the family dynamic. It's one of those cases that may never be solved and so much of it was screwed up by police, but it would be interesting to have a less emotional take and more factual. Thanks! She was ultimately convicted and given life without parole she’s only 15.

There is another case I sent you from Fall City, Washington Just a couple months back Mark and Sarah Humistom along with children were killed by their 15 year old son. Can you please report on this. The Katlin Armstrong, Mo Wilson, Colin Strickland gravel bike racing case in Austin Texas. There so many elements of motivation that I cannot fathom. The fact so few people from her life before moving to Austin have said anything is strange. I would love Hidden True crime to discuss the aspects of the case that seem so bizarre. The flight to Costa Rica, the plastic surgery, the "yoga instructor" appellation, the second escape attempt with the feigned injury.

Of course this is just my opinion. I did watch the whole trial or at least what was aired, plus the sentencing which I highly recommend. I definitely think they have a good chance on appeal.

I believe that it's because her murder occurred in 1982 and the prosecution had a 1982 mentality about DV. But this case needs attention. It's kind of like the Robert Durst case of San Francisco (without the billions of dollars). Kathy Durst never got justice, but my hope is Nancy will. And even if she doesn't (because her murderer dies of old age) I'd at least want her to get justice with the public. Gray Hughes did a live about it with Alison Galvani, Nancy's surviving daughter. Alison has a small channel called My Father's Alibi. I'm SURE she'd love to be on to discuss her mom's case. I think you and John would be so good at covering this matter. In Victor Idaho Jeremy Best kills his pregnant wife, kidnaps 10 month old Zeke Best and the baby is found dead by hunters while Jeremy was found naked in a sleeping bag near his vehicle making odd statements to them. They were found in Bonneville County which encompasses Idaho Falls. Roughly 66 or so miles to the South. So sad. Idaho is starting to be the Psycho state.

As I recall, his experience was questionable (ER doc with no experience evaluating children?) and the things he said were so far from what I understand to be appropriate or ethical for an expert in that role to say. Referencing his 85 page report he called Carly *diabolical* and his testimony was, I’m sure, a major factor in this *15 year-old* girl getting sentenced to life in Mississippi, where life means life. Maybe I’m way off in my analysis but Dr. Pickett’s testimony is just wild and worth a watch.

There are 911 calls from her after she somehow got ahold of his phone. There was also a call from a woman who saw Denise screaming and banging on the window in the back of his car. Very sad case and the calls are completely chilling. It happened in North Port..same general area where Stephen Sterns and Brian Laundrie lived.

One murdered was my brother’s best friend as kids. His name was Richard and I remember him. We never heard much about it and have always wondered what really happened and who did it. Todd was a 34 y/o, found in the woods, his dog was also murdered and found on the freeway. The details are so strange, I wish someone would talk about it. Or the Kristin Smart case at cal poly slo, we still don't know where her body is.

He abused one of his family members and the last I know he was suing all his ex coworkers because the left him when they found out. But haven't heard much more about him and he is still running a successful YouTube channel trying to make himself out to be someone he isn't. They moved his trial from Bardstown (Nelson County) to Bowling Green 2 hours away. He will be tried with 2 other co-defendants. Also, Brooks brother a former Bardstown police officer who is probably involved and Crystal’s father was shot & killed while deer hunting with his grandson that is also probably connected. Then bring in a drug cartel “Cornbread mafia” it gets crazy. A mother & young daughter was killed in their home that people speculate might be connected as well. It’s a mess!

She’s trying to get justice for her sister Alissa, whose father is suspected of murdering her, but still remains free. At the moment, the police told her that the best way to get her father convicted would be to get media exposure. There’s also a lot of evidence that her father sexually abused Alissa, and I think Dr. John could give a lot of new insight on that part of the case.
