Strongest in DxD - Chapter 49

Ren nodded as he calmly looked at the description of the Sacred Gear, indeed the power to stop time was something incredibly useful.

[Warning: The Sacred Gear "Forbidden Balor View" may evolve into a Longinus]

[Want to evolve?]

Ren looked minimally surprised as he nodded.

[Evolving…]

As Ren analyzed the power and evolution of his new Longinus, Semiramis only looked at his master who was in a trance, which Semiramis assumed was his master's process of adapting to a new Sacred Gear.

Letting out a sigh, Ren looked out the window and saw that the moon was already in the sky, he had probably taken a long time talking to Sona.

"Where are we going now?" asked Semiramis approaching.

A smile split Ren's face as he sensed a presence in the city, one he wanted to know.

"I have someone to find now," Ren said as he walked out of the room and waved at Semiramis.

The Queen of Assyria only sighed at her master's personality, but still she followed him.

After all, it was a servant's duty to protect his reckless master.

...

...

The sky was dark showing everyone the dusk with the stars shining in the sky above, which lit up the dark night.

Walking calmly through the streets at night was Ren, the Sekiryuutei was wearing the same clothes he was wearing during his encounter with Sona.

Ren continued to walk calmly through the streets until he looked straight ahead and saw a large bridge that separated two points of the city, but what really caught Ren's attention was that at one point on the bridge there was a man looking down on the river below.

He was a young man with long black hair and red eyes, he also has pointy ears.

He wears a black tunic with detailed accessories.

Ren calmly approached the man as he came to stand beside him.

"So you're the one who killed my subordinates to get my attention?" asked the man as he looked at the horizon.

"Yeah, I hope you don't mind Kokabiel," Ren said amusedly.

The being in front of Ren was Kokabiel, one of the Leaders of the Fallen Angels, the Star-Lord of Grigori, one of the Ancient Generals of Heaven before he lost his grace, and a Cadre with the power equivalent to a Maou and Seraphim.

"No problem Ren Katsuo, or would you rather be called Sekiryuutei?" asked Kokabiel with amusement.

Ren just laughed: "Call me what you want"

Kokabiel turned his gaze to Ren: "So what do you plan now that you have my attention?" asked Kokabiel.

"I think you already know, after all you were watching my conversation with Sona Sitri," Ren said calmly resulting in Grigori's Star-Lord laugh.

Ren knew there was someone watching his conversation with Sona, or rather someone had used magic to spy on the heiresses, both Rias and Sona, and it was done in such a way that it would be surprising if either of them knew

"So, you want to kill me to make the Fallen Angels join your war?" asked Kokabiel with amusement.

"You have no idea," thought Ren with a huge smile mentally.

Ren really wanted to kill Kokabiel, after all the man in front of him was one of those responsible for the deaths of his parents and sister.

However Kokabiel was still useful to Ren's plans, and while he was gone, the being in front of him would live, but when he left, death would be his only fate.

Although Ren was mentally surprised by Kokabiel's personality, the Fallen Angel was quite different from what he was in the anime.

Kokabiel wasn't freaked out yet, and he looked pretty wary in front of Ren, and he didn't even have his arrogance.

Ren knew that at some point Kokabiel had gone mad from his desire for battle, but he seemed quite lucid.

"Do you really think you can beat me?" Ren asked with amusement.

Kokabiel shook his head: "Knowing you defeated Sirzechs Lucifer, defeating you would be impossible"

"Honestly he was pretty pathetic for the strongest of Satans, I think everyone overestimated his abilities too much," said Ren amusedly.

Kokabiel chuckled: "Maybe, or maybe you're a monster," Kokabiel said laughing.

Ren chuckled as he looked at Kokabiel: "I didn't come to kill you, I came for you to help me restart the Great War," said Ren smiling.

Kokabiel's eyes widened when he heard this.

"You want a war to prove the forces of the Fallen Angels, and I want to complete my goals," SlashDog said calmly.

The Fallen Angel's red eyes sparkled in amusement.

"What if I refuse?" asked Kokabiel amused.

Though he had a smile on his face, the deathly cold gleam in Ren's eyes that looked like two spheres of eternal ice made Kokabiel flinch.

"So I kill you here and now," Ren said smiling.

Kokabiel's eyes widened as he saw Ren's blue eyes replaced by a crimson red with a mysterious pattern in black.

It was Ren's [Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan].

Kokabiel's smile widened as his eyes momentarily lost their sparkle before recovering.

"Interesting, fine, I'll help you, although I'm surprised you don't have spies in Grigori," Kokabiel said laughing.

"But I have spies there" said Ren smiling, he would even have to contact his spy for a mission soon.

Kokabiel only smiled when his ten black wings emerged from his back.

"Okay, I'm looking forward to the future," Kokabiel said as he disappeared as he flew away.

Ren only watched with a smile.

"You really shouldn't be Kokabiel, as he won't be any good to you…" Ren whispered calmly.

"This was easier than I thought," said a voice calling Ren's attention.

Looking back the Sekiryuutei saw Semiramis approaching him.

The Knew Queen of Assyria had found it surprisingly easy for her master to convince Kokabiel, it even looked like he was being manipulated.

When Semiramis' eyes focused on Ren's she understood what he had done.

"Did you use an illusion?" asked the approaching woman.

Ren smiled: "Yes, [Kotoamatsukami], an illusion that allows me to manipulate a person indirectly by making them have false memories, experiences and even feelings, so that person will never know they are being manipulated" explained the man.

Semiramis' eyes narrowed, that was certainly a dangerous skill.
