I've been packing & shipping ASL hard copies this week!

They turned out very nice, with soft touch lamination covers and rich colours 🌈 My only issue is that a couple of pages are too dark (and it's my faultπŸ˜“).

It's both natural light + some warm lamp to make it more "sunny" :-) I had fun painting both covers, because I rarely have an oppurtinity to go for the "painterly" style and play with brushes that simulate thick paint. I wasn't sure if Rust was a good choice, I was wondering if people won't be put off by having him on the cover ;-) But I like how he turned out. The third cover is ready; I have already published an image last year. I can't wait to finally publish it.

Was this picture taken next to a window? The light looks like natural sunlight, rather than artificial bulbs. It looks great. There's nothing I would like more than to actually leave my home for once, go out in the real sunlight, and read the comic. That would be perfect. The covers look so good. After hours of staring at it, I think I've finally decided Rust Wing is best cover model. It looks so cool. And his eyes almost seem to glow. In the shadow of the box, his eyes still seem to pop, just as much as the one illuminated by the light. Don't get me wrong. The cover of book 1 is phenomenal, and looks great as an introductory cover. Each cover perfectly fits. Having our favorite trio for the 1st cover makes sense, as it is introducing the story. The rust wing cover almost seems to have a "watch out, it's not over yet. Beware I am the Rust Wing" kind of tone/feel. "Beware Rusty's strike". "I am the one to watch out for". The cover of book 2 is definitely more dramatic and cool. Cover 1 is happy & inviting. Cover 2 is mysterious and tempts the reader with a "watch for what happens next" form of depiction. I like the way the covers look in the light (and the shadow of the box). They look so real.
