Ok so Pennywise is like some otherworldly god. He controls the parents in Derry. So they don't really know what's going on and can't really help. Pennywise scares the children because they taste better.
Eddie's mom is just weird. Also the stuff that happens when they are children even relationships with parents. All plays out into their adult life. I do hope you guys watch the second one. The adult cast is amazing picks to their childrens counterparts. I love the second one also

The fact that the distinction between reality and the mind isn't clear and breaks down more and more the longer the story goes on for is a big theme in this, but even more so in the book. I won't spoil anything but the book is a lot longer and lore heavier and a lot crazier too. There is a lot of insane stuff that you just could not put on screen.
Stephen King had long phases of intense cocaine addiction and you can actually plot that through his body of work because some of it is just totally off the rails, including this one.
The second movie departs a lot more from the book than this one. That's all I'll say about that one.

I love those movies! 1, because John Krasinski does a great job, directing and acting in it, and 2 because his irl wife plays his wife in the movie, so the movie is just made more real and genuine

Okay so idk if you guys have seen this movie or not, but A Quiet Place(2018), is one of the most impactful horror movies Iโve ever seen, itโs not strictly a horror movie, itโs got a deeper message throughout the movie, but I think that you guys would love it
