There is so much more in Chapter Four

I completed the remake process for Chapter Four months ago so I'd almost forgotten how much time, effort and extra material has gone into it.

My focus recently has been wrestling with the technical issues with the website that have been delaying the release of this chapter.

But we are getting close enough for me to talk about the remake process and give away a bit of a preview before this next chapter gets added to the website.


Remaking the images 



A large proportion of the in-game images have gone through the same rigorous review and remake process that all the story has and will be subjected to.
This has generally involved re-rendering images using new lighting sets, camera angles and depth of field.



Pretty much any scene which takes place in the corridors has been remade due to the previously poor lighting set ups and inconsistent camera height.
Although this may not look like much of a change to some images, the perfectionist in me just had to suffer the endless hours of this refining process.





All the images which feature the gym and surrounding area have also been remade.
This also gave me the opportunity to tweak some of the poses, facial expressions and eye contact with the PC.
These images in particular have been dramatically improved.







Remaking everything around the gym scenes with Amy, Laura and Lola was great. Adding in a nice glossy skin sheen to show the girls perspiring as they worked out was a nice detail that eventually comes from several years of learning how to use 3D rendering software.



Adding in some new and more animated material here really gives the scene much more depth.
There are certainly some parts of the human anatomy that are great fun to animate.
I wish I could show more here but...


Updated scenes



As well as updating images, I also looked at the narrative content in some of the scenes.
One notable omission from the new version of the game is a variant of the scene with Lola in the shower.
I decided to remove the possibility of an MMF encounter involving Sebastian.
It was unpleasant and too close to being abusive. On reflection it really didn't fit in with what I want the overall themes and outcomes of this story to explore.



The scene with Lola is of course still there though and has been updated and extended though to include more options and achievements than ever before.
Part of the time with Lola now forms one of the bonus scenes.


How many bonus scenes?

Chapter Four has four bonus scenes. One is with Lola, another is with Holly and there are two bonus scenes with completely new material.
The Holly bonus is based on a completely remade and significantly extended scene with Holly in the storeroom.





This is another place where all the images have been remade as illustrated in the above images. The improvements here should be very clear.
I've also added several new variants and possible achievements to this scene.
I'm really happy with how this one turned out and it was well worth all the extra production time.
The Holly bonus scene has 660 images.





New and bonus material

Another of the bonus scenes is a relatively short, but very enjoyable encounter with Amy, Laura and Lola in the showers after their workout.
It's just a shame that Genevieve and Isabella don't approve of men coming into the female changing room.
But then again, neither would Principal Valentine if she caught you in there.





The fourth and final bonus scene is also huge.
It really gives you a chance to get to know Jodie much better.
575 completely new and previously unreleased images have gone into making this one and it is hot as hell!

So.... Plenty of new stuff to explore and all the other fun stuff is still there too.
Nearly 3100 images and about 1800 pages have gone into the massively expanded Chapter Four.
The scoring metrics and achievements have all been updated too.
This chapter definitely includes the largest amount of updates, expansion and progression since the original game was released on vdategames way back in 2016. (But just wait until you see Chapter Six...)

As soon as we get it through testing this new version of Chapter Four will be released. I anticipate this to be the first or second week of August 2022.
