I'll admit that I got this slightly wrong.
Chasing the Laura pathway has clearly proven popular and a bit frustrating because I had unintentionally made it impossible to get the maximum +5 score required to continue with her later on.
This only applies to the conversation on the solo pathway.
The Bridgette pathway works out fine if you judge it right.
I should explain that the conversation you have with Laura is deliberately tricky to navigate.
She is a somewhat highly strung character who is trying to figure out if she loves you or hates you. She is difficult to please...
In other words tread lightly or she will get even more pissed off with you!
This was the issue...
On the solo pathway, you always start with a -2 score for Laura.
There were seven points available during the conversation with her which, although requiring some skill and judgement to find, should have enabled the +5 score.
However, I hadn't quite realised that you couldn't actually get all seven of those scoring opportunities due to the various conversational options.
This is the solution...
What I have now done is added in two more scoring opportunities at the start of the conversation on the solo pathway.
With nine points available you won't plateau at a +4 Laura score anymore.
Now you should have some time to figure out this scene and get a bit further with Laura.
Apologies if you've been up all night trying to figure this scene out... :)

EDIT:
I've had many people contacting me asking how to play through the Laura scene successfully because they are really struggling.
I can assure all of you that there aren't any technical issues or bugs in the scene.
It's just intentionally difficult because Laura is intentionally difficult to please.
Feedback from a few players suggest that this is actually preferrable because it makes Laura's character more distinct from some of the 'easier' options.
Afterall this is a game and games are supposed to have challenges to overcome.
For example, the reponse "What makes you think I don't like you?" is used in five different pages; three on the Bridgette pathway and two on the solo.
Some of them link to a checkfile, which if your score is already below zero will only make things worse. By that point you have already lost with Laura.
The others do give a +1 to your Laura score and then can still run through checkfiles. Some skip the checkfiles and go straight to a more positive outcome.
Basically, the whole thing is probably way more complicated than it probably needed to be.
It's just that your relationship with Laura is on a knife edge at this point and this conversation is a reflection of that delicate balance between getting things right and wrong.
In general you just need to be polite, agree with what Laura says and let her know that you like and respect her.
The longer the conversation lasts, the more chance of success.
I will publish a detailed walkthrough for this scene... But not yet...
