[New Files!] The Tea Light Star Destroyer has been added to the December Specialist rewards!

Got something I'm quite excited about for you guys today! This project turned out much more fun than I expected so I went a little extra. Inside you'll find 3 versions of the Star Destroyer: Tea Light, 1:4800 Scale with accurate engines, and a secret version only the insane would try!

I tried to make the Star Destroyer as easy to print as possible so you'll find it's pre-split in some very nice ways to cut down on supports while still maintaining the general shape. It's got a bunch of little connectors you can glue in place as pins too!

Something new I'm trying is including my Bambu Studio GCODE and Project files for each new release tested on the X1's. So if you've got a Bambu printer you can print it the same way we do right out of the gate! Thank you to James for the suggestion!

**Added stands for the 1:4800 and Tea Light versions!**

Hope you all enjoy!

- Aaron

New member here, how hard is it to remove the tea lights to replace the batteries when needed?

Sean White

I didn't see it, is it the small triangle piece on plate 2?

Mike Coscia

I'll take a look, thank you!

Mike Coscia

Should be in the v2 version!

Aaron Hughes

These are great! However, I don't see the stand?

Mike Coscia

If you do a Jedi Interceptor, with the secret scale, Ill print it at the secret scale :)

Will Roberts

I love it. My a-wing is looking pretty sweet with the lights. It made me start to think about how to hollow out some spots for a few more lights.

Jonathan Zimmers

This is awesome. More ships and vehicles like this would be great. Definitely needs a stand though. I made one and my son stole it over Christmas while he was over. Guess I will print another lol

Speaking of a base.... Its really a bit of a shame, that there is no base for it. Is that something you might consider doing?

Jesper Sigh

Nvm....I found out how to do it with Mesh Mixer. :D

Jason Lewis

just did this one in resin (1:48000 scale still reduced to 58% to fit the print bed). Having some slight warpage issues causing things not to align perfectly. Do you have an uncut version of this model? Want to print it whole in the resin.

Jason Lewis

Got a fix uploading for it now, thank you!

Aaron Hughes

Just an FYI if you print strait from the Tea Light G-Code files, the engines are sized for only the center to fit a teal light. you'll still need to print the engines from the tea light stl separately

Jeremy McBride

They can hover in orbit so the lifesize one doesn't need a stand.

David Schloss

No but I have plans to add one!

Aaron Hughes

is there a stand for this?

Dennis Sutphin

Here are the ones I got with it: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09TSC1FDT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Aaron Hughes

Does this require a specific type brand of tea light? or is there one you ecommend?

Jeremy McBride

You're gonna want at least 1 meter of durasteel

Aaron Hughes

how many walls for the secret version

Joey Jones

I'm not sure why that would be, sorry

Aaron Hughes

Wouldn't be too hard! It might mess with the current way it's assembled but we've got a great base to start with if we want to update it later

Aaron Hughes

Check for an Elegoo Shipyard kickstarter in the coming weeks!

Aaron Hughes

Help please. When I load the Project into Bambu and try to change from the Cold Plate to my Textured PEI Plate, the Project crashs

Jens Waldinger

Oh this is brilliant! I can’t wait to print this

Robert Noon

Hells yes!!!

Seth Holliday

This is awesome! How hard would it be to make a hollow version? I wanna add some fiber optic lights to the whole thing like plasmo models did in this kit one: https://youtu.be/x9A9FaT1wsE?si=3fRJ9WoKv8vbhK9y

W Jones

I'm having trouble printing the lifesize model. Perhaps you need to ship a Scarif shipyards first, and then I can build the SD on the orbital platform there

David Schloss

Glad I bought a box of tea lights last year, gonna need em

Gary Houser

Siiiiiiiccccck

Awesome! Now I really need to get the X1 lol

malcolm bathke

Kyle Jacks

Love the X1 Carbon idea. Thanks!

Arthur Benning

Glad you like it!

Aaron Hughes
