ShoH Update (January #1)

Hello, happy new year again! (I just keep saying this because it's really exciting to me that it's a new decade! New possibilities! Fresh horizons!) 

As some of you can see, I spent the last two nights working feverishly on ShoH! I wrote about 20,000 words from the hours of 1 AM to 5 AM both nights and I finally got what I needed to done so I could update the alpha build. 😅 It was a trip and it probably reads as slightly delusional, as there were parts where I was actually falling asleep while I was coding and then had to wake up in the morning and fix all of the weird mistakes I made! But I'm very happy with it and can't wait to hear everyone's reactions. :)

I've never really been in a position where I feel like I'm either constantly behind on deadlines (work-wise, not for this) because of how things played out over the holidays: traveling home, wanting to spend time with family and friends rather than catching up on work, celebrating Christmas and New Year's close together, and having my sister fly back to New York with us and visit for two weeks (and feeling obligated to show her around, given she's much younger) meant that a lot of things piled up on me and I'm trying to keep my head above water. So that's why I had to just suck it up and sacrifice a few nights of sleep to finally get this content out! And I'm so happy I was able to!

We just broke 200,000 words with this new update, which feels fitting given the new year (I should have made it to 220,000 for 2020! Wait, does that even make sense?...). If you want to see this handy list I made of all CSG stories by word-length, that puts ShoH up there with the Choice of the Vampire sequel or Mecha Ace, which is crazy to me, given that we're only about one-fourth of the way through the story! 😅 Buckle in, it's going to be a long ride... but that means more time to spend with the characters and the world! 

I don't really know what I'm typing anymore, but I hope you can read my excitement for the game, as always.
