Secret Art (July) (Riel) + Art Poll
Added 2019-07-20 19:00:02 +0000 UTCFor this month, I'm going to reveal to you guys Riel's original character art, as well as present the poll for next month's art/character card.
Riel's art actually matches everyone else's (the sketched portraits you can find in the ShoH thread on the COG forums); but I've kept it hidden from the world because looking at it gives me a sense of embarrassment, like looking at a bad yearbook photo from the sixth grade.
It's just so... anti to who Riel is...
But now you get the privilege of being the first and only people who will ever see it!
Just keep in mind it is NOT an accurate portrayal of his character anymore, lol. The expression and facial structure is about right, but the hair...

*sounds of breaking mirrors and screaming*
The Riel of today would never have long hair like this; he's so neat and fastidious that he would just be preoccupied with tidying it all day and combing out loose hairs and he would never get anything done! I don't remember exactly why he turned out this way--it could have been a case of a confusing reference and then me being too awkward to request it be changed--but there's actually more art and mishaps like this, including full-body portraits of Trouble and Chase, lol!
What do you think? Does it work for him, or does the slicked-back gelled look seem better suited? I wish I had the time/$$ to get him redone--but I guess we'll just have to settle for talking to him in Chapter 2 of the alpha build and getting to know him that way... and not picturing him with beautiful flowing locks!
