Author Answers (July)

Thank you everyone who participated in this month's Author Q&A! :) I've written my answers below the cut: standard questions are in the first section, spoilers are in the middle, and NSFW questions are at the bottom!

Standard Questions

Anonymous: Who was your main inspiration for Blade?

Answer: I think Blade is a mix of the awkwardness of Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice with the military bearing and sensibilities of Sousuke Sagara from the light novel series "Full Metal Panic"! There are probably some other bits and pieces from other characters that I'm not thinking of, but that's what comes to mind!

Anonymous: Did MC's mom really die of sickness, or was it due to something else? I always felt this part of the background was fishy. 

Answer: She really did die of the Grey Death!

Anonymous: What was your motivation for putting Caine into the game? It's not often that we see little kid characters in COGs. (No hate, I love Caine.)

Answer: Honestly, I didn't foresee or intend on Caine becoming as popular as he is now! While he was a pre-existing character in the Shepherds of Haven canon, his role was drastically different in the novels: he was Blade's illegitimate nephew and something of a surly teenager. I borrowed a version of him for the game because I initially needed some way of explaining the world and MC's position in the world and figured a little kid would be a plausible person to need explaining to! Now he's our little sidekick and I love it, lol.

Spoiler Questions

JMH: Will we definitively find out if say, the One God exists, or if the Old Gods exist? 

Answer: Yes, you will definitively find this out--and in fact, the answer changes depending on your choices!

Anonymous: Are we (the MC) the child of the Archdemon or an Endarkened?

Answer: No, you are not!

Anonymous: Is Croelle a bad guy?

Answer: He is a ruthless person who has hurt and killed a lot of people. However, whether or not he means the MC harm is something that depends on your choices and playthrough! For now I'd say he's an amoral person working for bad people, but he personally does not have to be a villain in your game. Although he's not currently a recruitable Shepherd, you can work to bond with him and turn him over to your side!

Anonymous: Did Zori love the MC?

Answer: Zori probably did have a crush on the MC, sadly...

Answer:

Blade: groans quietly and does muffled curses, sometimes can't help but shout

Trouble: quite loud, moans quite a lot

Tallys: gasps and pants, generally fairly quiet

Shery: really loud, moans and screams frequently

Riel: very quiet, shudders and sobs for breath

Chase: depends on who's around, he prefers to make his partner scream loud enough to muffle his sound

Red: average loudness, lots of "ngh"s and groans of pleasure

Ayla: louder than average, she does not care if people hear her praising her partner to the heavens

Lavinet: louder than average, moans and squeals quite a lot--extremely loud upon orgasm

Anonymous: Can you tell us any NSFW facts about each ROs? Like what kinks they have?  

Answer:

Blade: he seems to particularly enjoy having sex in a place where you have to be quiet or you'll get caught (he finds this strangely very hot and usually can't resist if MC comes on to him in such a place). Also, the first time his partner ever gives him oral absolutely blows his mind and he spends the next couple weeks twitching just thinking about it!

Trouble: he has a praise kink... it turns him on like no other when his partner praises him or says things like "that's so good..." or "right there..."

Tallys: a surefire way to make her come immediately is biting/kissing her neck (sometimes hard) while playing with her!

Shery: her nipples are very sensitive (in an erogenous way) and her partner can make her come just by playing with her breasts!

Chase: has a binding kink, he loves restraining his partner with their wrists over their head or tying them up and making them beg while he teases them!
