Added 2024-09-30 22:37:07 +0000 UTCas you know, i'm now working towards an art education degree, which means i'm attending art classes.
In this case, it's a design class. I'm not doing a lot of drawing, which is good, i think. i'm getting to stretch my art legs in other directions.
that being said, i'm kind of Done with collages lmao it's such a pain in the ass. Not in the ways you might think though. I think it's pretty fun recontextualizing images from a magazine, as painstaking as that might be. My problem with collages comes from the fact that magazines aren't really a thing anymore and i have a hard time finding them, so i'm left scrounging for anything i can get my hands on.
This is a great thing early on when i'm trying to conceptualize the piece, it forces me to be creative. But once i'm making that piece, i don't want to start running out of paper. This is a problem that doesn't happen with most other forms of visual art, so i'm looking forward to when the class moves on to something else.
Anyways, your patronage is now much more directly going towards my Teaching Certificate Journey, so I thought it would be fair for you to see what i'm working on during that journey.
