What's Next for Patrons?

Hey everyone! I recently released Language Barriers v2.0 to the public, which has likely left some of you wondering what you can expect next. So, I'm making this post to clear that up for you, and help you make an informed decision about whether to keep your pledge or not.

Where things stand now

First things first, there is currently nothing in alpha or beta for patrons. If your sole reason for being a patron was to get early access, feel free to delete your pledge. Trust me, there's no hard feelings - I'm appreciative that you signed up in the first place! Plus, you can always re-join later when the next phase of alphas begins.

Second, I do not know when Simway alphas will begin, but it probably won't be in September. I am quite honestly feeling burnt out from LB v2.0. I am going to take some time to work on modding tools rather than actual mods for a bit, and then I will be dedicating my time to Simway. I don't want to put crappy-quality mods out, though, so it might take me a while to get it to a place where I feel an alpha release is appropriate.

Third, the remaining updates for LB are on pause. Like I said in the last point, I'm burnt out from LB. I need to take a break from it and work on something else instead, at least for now. I will work on the remaining LB v2.0 features simultaneously with Simway, and then will get to the update for educations and careers.

In summary, I do not know if any alphas/betas will be available in September, which means that the only patron benefit that will be active this month is customized mod versions for Landgraabs ($8 USD / month), since there is nothing for me to provide early access for.

Should you keep your pledge?

That's entirely up to you, and your reasons for pledging.

• If you're in it for the early access, then go ahead and delete your pledge (again, no hard feelings – I do not want you paying for something that you will not get). You can always re-join when the next alpha releases are available, if they interest you.
• If you're in it to support me, then you can either remain in your current tier or downgrade to the General Support tier ($1 USD / month) for now, and then upgrade back to your current tier when early access is available again.

No matter what you decide to do with your pledge, thanks for signing up in the first place! Your support really means a lot to me, and it enables me to keep modding. I'll keep you updated as progress is made on Simway, LB, and another secret mod I have in the works.
