Progress Update 2020

Hola Patreons, hoy les quiero compartir una barra con el progreso que hemos avanzado este año con la producción de Hot Salsa en sus aspectos animados. Honestamente este año no fue muy bueno para Hot Salsa en terminos de animación, aunque ScumHouse como estudio seguimos creciendo y ya terminamos la primer caricatura de 11 mins que fue Satina. Sigue otra caricatura por tener su primer episodio y lo mas probable es que Hot Salsa sea el tercer lugar en tener su episodio en ScumHouse. 

Hot Salsa a pasado por varias fases desde que inicié a trabajar con ScumHouse y una de ellas fue el piloto original el cual fue grabado y quedó como un animatic antes de que yo mismo decidiera que no era lo suficientemente bueno y que el proyecto había evolucionado tanto ese año de trabajo que los personajes ya tenian otro modo mas desmadroso y además hacer un guión enfocado en el Inglés no era lo que yo quería para Hot Salsa. 

Obvio todo esto va a alentar el paso, pero yo digo que para bien y para que sea mas disfrutable. Así que basicamente tuve que descartar todo el progreso de la animación original para hacer algo mejor con la experiencia que ahora tengo con estos dos años de trabajo en mi proyecto.

Bueno ya es mucho texto pero les recuerdo que no se desesperen con todo lo que conlleva que salga una animación. El COVID no dejó que pudieramos darle el marketing necesario ni prescencia en ningún evento etc. Es mucho trabajo y esfuerzo de todo un equipo en todos los aspectos. Satina se demoró aun teniendo el dinero de producción a la mano y los demas proyectos que se producen en ScumHouse cada uno lleva su propio presupuesto y forma de sustentarse. Obviamente competir contra USD está difícil. Les recuerdo que yo soy el creador y el director de Hot Salsa pero yo solo no puedo producir el proyecto, para eso estoy en ScumHouse donde tengo las amistades que ayudarán a que sea posible.

Para finalizar les doy muchas gracias a los Patreon que han estado todo el año apoyando y formando una comunidad dentro de Discord y en mis redes. Gracias a ustedes tenemos ahorrado una buena cantidad para comenzar a trabajar cuando se despeje todo el relajo del COVID, se les aprecia un chingo <3

Hi Patrons, today I wanna share a progress bar of what we have advanced this year regarding Hot Salsa's production in the animation aspect. Honestly this year wasn't good for HS in animation terms, even if ScumHouse has grown as a studio and Satina was launched with good popularity. There's another cartoon coming out with it's first episode and probably that will make Hot Salsa third place in having it's first episode. 

Hot Salsa has gone through various phases since I  started working with ScumHouse and one of them was the original pilot, which we recorded the voices and it was left as an animatic before I decided it wasn't good enough since the project had evolved so much in the year while working that characters had grown and changed and the whole show had a different feel. I also didn't want to do the pilot focused on English first because my goal was always to do this for a spanish audience first and I didn't want to lose that authenticity 

Obviously that was going to slow us down, but I think it was for the projects own good and for it to be more authentic. So basically I had to discard the progress of the original animation to make something better with the experience I now have. Well it's a lot now but I just wanna remind everyone to not get desperate with animation as it takes a long time to produce. COVID did not let me make the necessary marketing or presence in any event. It's a lot of work in all aspects. Even Satina took long with a dedicated budget but all projects in ScumHouse have their own budget and forms to earn it. Obviously I'm not American so I cant earn in USD and compete with the costs of production evenly.  I remind you guys that I'm Hot Salsas creator and director but I cannot produce the project alone, that's why I have ScumHouse where I have the friends who can team up with me to do it. 

To finish this I just wanted to thank all the Patrons who have been helping all this year and formed a community on Discord and my social media. Thanks to you all we have saved up a good quantity to start working once COVID problems start going away. You guys are very appreciated <3
