Important: How to avoid Apple 30% charge
Added 2024-11-01 20:45:07 +0000 UTCSome of you may know that Apple will start charging an extra Patreon fee of 30% for people pledging through the app. In Patreon's initial email to creators, they said it would not affect currently pledged members, only new ones. So, hopefully, nothing should change for those of you who have already pledged.
Because of this extra fee, I highly recommend that you do not pledge via the Patreon app if you are using an Apple device when pledging to anybody's Patreon, not just mine.
Just open a web browser (you can even do this on your mobile), and go to https://www.patreon.com/SpiralledEye (or whatever other creator you are pledging to) and pledge via the website.
