Added 2015-08-16 07:37:15 +0000 UTCFun with Ultramarine, and white gel pen! Our local artist's supply stacks Mitsubishi gel pens again - and refills. Typically, a Mitsubishi pen survives one or two watercolour paintings before its tip gets clogged up; with refills, it's slightly more sustainable. ;)

This piece is coming out absolutely stunning (my bias for blue notwithstanding). This is definitely one I'd be purchasing a print of. :)

2015-08-16 12:58:37 +0000 UTCNot really - just a little more clear turquoise on Míriel, I think, to separate her more from the background. For the rest, we decided to go for "Hollywood night". Because it does look good. And our brains are wired to see it as "dark".
