I am curious, how do you see this going off the rails? Because from where I stand, the healer is already prohibited by the contract from manipulating him in any way, so how would she use this against him?

2024-02-15 20:10:24 +0000 UTCI’m surprised that after all of the dramatics about the contract, and the potential ramifications of the healer succumbing to her greed would have (thrall, torture, etc), our protagonist would be naive enough to try and find a way around the contract immediately 😂 Giving someone something of ‘your own free will’ is a very slippery slope to being manipulated into doing the very same thing after all. I have a feeling that the healer will choose to ‘pay’ for the healing tincture with the soul of the beast, to avoid tripping the magical clause. Great chapter all in all!

I feel you've also managed to balance it well to coincide and feed of other events in the story line. I would argue you're doing it better than you did in the earlier chapters, where you used 3 chapters consecutively to build on the characters. Another good chapter, as I've come to expect 😉
