Thank you for this: "Of course, the first thing that Greg did after the old man sitting on the sigil had shushed him, was to tell both Olivia and his familiar what it was he was seeing." I really hate how some MCs are so stupid and actually keep quiet in situations like this. It either works out due to plot armour or is a disaster due to the plot needing the manufactured drama to move forward. In either case, frustrating and unsatisfying. Along with him being cognizant that he shouldn't be saying things he shouldn't know, e.g. fate was out to get him. Well done!
