Milestones: Interviews, Publisher Directory & Podcast
Added 2015-09-11 13:59:36 +0000 UTCWe quietly added some new milestones to our campaign page a little while ago, but we wanted to make it official and give you some more details about these very exciting projects!
MORE INTERVIEWS: At $400 a month, we’ll start a new line of designer interviews. While Meaningful Decisions goes in-depth on one design, the new series will go broad. We'll ask designers how the process of making their game made them a better designer. The series will be packed with useful tips about the entire design process, from concept to prototyping and playtesting, all the way through publication.
PUBLISHER DIRECTORY: At $500 a month, things start to get really interesting. We know firsthand how hard it can be to research potential publishers for a design. There are more options than ever, which can make it hard to find who you’re looking for. When we hit this milestone, we’ll create a directory of board game publishers and their submission policies. This directory will be a regularly updated resource for the industry. Patrons will get free access!
GAME DESIGN PODCAST: At $750 a month, we enter a new medium: podcasting. There are a lot of board game podcasts out there, so we have something special planned. Our podcast will be fully scripted, fully produced and fully edited--stories of how games work and what’s happening in the industry, condensed into a polished, 20-to-30-minute listening experience.
