Sleeping Earth Dragon
Added 2016-05-23 08:55:24 +0000 UTCWhile I still love his idea. there are two great problems with this piece - the first is that nobody, not one, viewer at the Tolkien Tage realised that the dragon is sleeping in the earth - that concept needs refining.
The other problem is that another visitor identified the tale - as coming from "The Mists of Avalon", which explains where my mother got it from. I have a problem with MZB, so I'm not sure if I'll carry this further. If I do, the setup will have to be clearer anyway. I wanted to do the dragon in green, but unless I do it in brown, and almost indistinguishable from the ground, it'll be hard to understand the concept, I think.

There a dragon in a lake there, but it's more of the slimy worm kind. And I have a love/hate relationship with MZBs work XD (there are some things I like in it, or rather, I liked them pretty much when I was some 10 years younger, and some that really, really irk me. Makes for interesting reading...

2016-05-23 13:14:04 +0000 UTCWhen I first looked at it, I didn't notice that the grass was blending into the dragon. Even then, though, I wouldn't have concluded that the dragon was inside the earth. Maybe if there were tree roots visible underground? It seems like a hard concept to convey.
