Quick and sketchy concept
Added 2017-11-04 20:17:35 +0000 UTCI did a rough sketch for this piece - meant to be header-compatible - in my sketchbook last week, and today, I sat down for hours, looked for horse reference, pasted several horses together, pasted several herons in, and copied them all onto canvas using tracing paper. It took all afternoon and looked terrible.
So I scrapped it all and took 30 minutes for the freehand sketch above.
I need to start trusting in my compositional skills again.
I think they're Maedhros, Maglor and Finrod hunting, but I'm not sure yet.

2017-11-05 10:41:00 +0000 UTCI have really not been trusting anything over the past year. I actually feel the class I took last winter was more intimidating than helpful, in many respects. I do think that a lot of the things I learnt here are sitting in my brain somewhere, taking hold and working quietly, but for a *long* time, I felt I couldn't do anything. :/
