I did this on two sheets - one (zoomed in) for the riders, one for the background - and then I changed the front right bit again - I had another heron there, and when I put it all together, it suddenly looked as if Maglor was happily running that poor bird down with his spear. XD So I decided I'd move all the beasties out of immediate harm's way. Hunting shouldn't look too successful on canvas. ;)

There are things I can get away with because nobody knows much about them, but riding isn't one of them. ;) I'd hoped that watching my daughter's riding lessons would somehow make me smarter about riding by osmosis, but that didn't work out.
