Deeds of surpassing valour (I)
Added 2017-11-23 09:47:12 +0000 UTCI had the idea for this one at the worst of times: When I was going to bed. That resulted in my lying awake and planning the composition until about 1 AM. If I'd just sat down and scribbled it, I probably would have been asleep an hour sooner. But at least that way, scibbling it this morning took no time at all.
I actually want to do two scenes about this quote. This of course is the classic - I wanted to have "the Orcs fled before his face" in there. Another one will be Maedhros defending a breach in the wall/gate at Himring. Probably. ;)

That happens to me with story ideas--best ones in the middle of the night. I love this idea and sketch of yours. I want to see the orcs fleeing. There is no doubt in my mind that some of them recognised him and knew true fear at that moment.
