Lineart done!
Added 2019-03-03 22:58:18 +0000 UTCIt was my goal to get the lineart done today, and when I'd just started drawing the front Easterling, my daughter came in: "Mum, since daddy and Timo are away and we're technically having a girls' day... is How To Tame Your Dragon still running...?"
So instead of drawing, I sat in an almost empty cinema with the greatest Toothless fan alive, bawling our eyes out again towards the ending. But I did file away some clothing and armour items shown on screen to put on my Easterlings, haha. Hollywood Vikings = totally unhistorical = great politically correct Easterlings.

Bakshi Boromir was horrible! Though I minded the horns far less than I did the furry diaper with wrestling belt.

2019-03-04 20:10:14 +0000 UTCI didn't have any problem with the Aquaboard painting, but I love the details of this lineart. Now, talking about Vikings and stuff, do you remember the way Boromir is portrayed in the Ralph Bakshi LOTR movie, with a horned helmet? I never quite liked the horns; they didn't seem appropriate for a warrior from Gondor. To the Easterlings they seem to be more fitting, and I mean they'd still look gorgeous. ^^
